Confirmed: T.R. Knight a Goner on Grey's Anatomy

Ending months of speculation culminating in a cliffhanger season finale, sources have confirmed that T.R. Knight's wish to be released from his contract has been granted.

For real. He is not coming back to Grey's Anatomy.

The actor who plays George O'Malley had grown so fed up with his character's lack of storyline that he asked if he could check out three years before his deal expired. Shonda Rhimes, the show's executive producer and creator, finally granted that request this week.
