Ellen Pompeo Baby Bump Update: Showing!
Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo showed off her burgeoning baby bump as she leaves her home in Los Angeles on Thursday. The actress announced about two months ago that she is pregnant with her first child. She married back in 2007.
Isn't she such a cute pregnant person?
Earlier this week, the 39-year-old and her husband, Chris Ivery, were seen leaving Mike’s Pastry on Hanover Street in their native city of Boston, Massachusetts.
The couple carried out a box full of sweet treats before heading back to Boston Harbor Hotel, where they stayed. Good to see they made a nice trip back home!

Normally, GA has started shooting in July/August. I wouldn't be surprised if they had it push forward due to EP's pregnancy.
Neither Shonda or EP or spoilers have come out with what is going to be her storyline but I am assuming that she will be going to maternity leave and the show will go on. They could stop production but that would cost them some money so I think that the first choice is the most adequate. I also see the huge possibilty that PD might also be absent during those episodes but who knows?
Maybe MerDer take a honeymoon? PLEEEEEEEAAAAAASEEEEE??

@fillie....I believe they always start filming the new season in July. Don't know how they will accomodate Ellen's pregnancy....that seems to be the big question and of course they are being very "hush-hush" about it all. But I have a feeling they will just hide her belly like they did Chyler's this last season. The rest we'll "just have to take on faith" as Derek would tell us.

IF they are starting filming in July is this to accomodate Ellen's pregnancy, and will that mean the cast will take a break whilst Ellen is actually having her baby? That would make sense to me, I know Ellen isn't in every scene, but her character is essential to the plot

Do they really start filming in July? I am really wondering how the lead female character is going to disappear for a number of episodes.
