Did you really think G would go down easily?

With Michelle Trachtenberg starring on Mercy, and the NBC drama about nurses being bumped up to fall from midseason (in place of Parenthood, which is delayed due to Maura Tierney's illness), do Gossip Girl fans have reason to worry?

Michelle plays the infamous Georgina Sparks, a recurring character from the first two seasons who was slated to return to the Upper East Side this fall as well.

Well, we are pleased to report that despite this scheduling move, Michelle Trachtenberg won't miss a beat on Gossip Girl. She's already been on set and will be appearing on the CW guilty pleasure series when it returns for its third season in September.

She's doing everything she was expected to do as of last spring, and we can only imagine what Georgina Sparks is up to now. Whatever it is, it can't be good.

Rest assured, Upper East Siders. Sparks will be flying in Season 3.
