It's easy for all of us to say what we would do or what he should do. He had to make the decision that was best for him. Although I will miss his character (I was always on George's side whether he was wrong or right) I wish him will and hope to see him either on the small screen or big screen soon.

He was good the first few seasons, but then he stopped being interesting. It was time for him to go, the character was mature as it would get. I am unlike all of you I guess, because I really don't think I will miss 'george' that much. As for TR, I agree that I don't think his acting abilities are good enough to see too much of him in the future. More power to him if he succeeds in this business, but I don't think he has it. It has nothing to do with his sexuality. I would rather have not known what his private life was.

George is by far my favorite character in the show. If he were a real person I would marry him. I had to watch the season 5 finale about 4 times before I actually believed that he died. I still refuse to accept it. He will be missed very much.

George is my favorite. I really missed him last season and it ruined the season for me.
I don't get why Shonda is making him pay for Isiah. Isiah is the one who attacked TR.
Reading the interview made me lose all respect for Shonda. I don't think I'll ever watch something from her after that.
I'm not going to be watching Grey afetr what she did to TR and how she killed George after making him a living ghost all season.

TR looks so gorgeous here and so happy. I'm so glad we know the truth about Shonda now. It's all we ever suspected about her.
I'm team TR all the way.
I haven't watched Grey that much the last season but when I did, it was for George. I can stop watching now.
I'll always love my sweet, beautiful wonderful George. He was my McDreamy.

Yes I guess the ratings will tell us how fans feel about George better than any message boards.
Internet has only a small little segment of the fanbase.
I know I'll miss George. I don't really care how others feel about it. I love him and I'll miss him. That's all that matters to me.

George is very loved and I think the ratings will reflect that next year.
I know many people who are not going to watch next season because of what was done to George.

Tonk, you do realize the reason both messages have the name Gail is because I wrote both of them.
Those two messages were from me. I thought you would get it, LOL. The first one was too long, so I wrote a second one.
I don't get why you would possibly think two messages written with the same name directly following each other would be from two different people.
So both messages written Gail are from me, the SAME person.
If TR is so hated, then why do you feel the need to write under different names against me and why do you the few George haters feel the need to write again and again?
Can it be because you know most people love him?
George is one of the most popular characters on the show, and very few people hate him.
Just look at the sites and look at the polls on George (you know those poll that let you vote once per computer). I don't think there is one poll that doesn't show a really big majority of people love George.

As twisted as it seems, I'd like to see the episode. George died as a hero, I wanted to see his pondering on the Army (we just got to see his final decision) and everything. It'd be a sad sad episode but it would give George an appropiate finish and to see that new side of him. Maybe one day.
Also, whoever said that Rob Lowe is better than PD for McDreamy? Seriously? I don't think so. I get bored with his scenes in Brothers & Sisters. The man couldn't pull off McDreamy. Neither could IW.

George is my favorite. I don't want to see Grey without him. He looks so hot in the magazine. Did anyone else buy it? TR looks so so good, especially in his grey jacket.
Aussiello said he was all shy and nervous. It's so sweet how shy he is after all this time.
I just hate he was so unhappy that he had to leave.
I want to cry when I think of him dying. How will we go on without our George? How will Izzie?
I'm very sad about it all.

Jen, some actors have actual integrity, a concept that seems utterly foreign to you. You might not mind being paid to be a parasite and do nothing, but some people actually don't like to sit on their butts and twiddle their thumbs.
Some actors actually want to...gasp gasp gasp, here comes a huge shocker..ACT.
They actually want to act and couldn't care less about the money. Not everyone is a greedy materialistic soulless creep in that business.
Some of them have integrity and love their craft.
Shonda would never have given George any respect. She never has since day 1. She never allowed George to gain respect from the others even when he was clearly superior to them in so many ways. Sjhe never allowed him an ounce of happiness.
She even killed him instead of letting go in the army and being a hero.
Shonda ahs her little favorites. George, though he is clearly a fan favorite, has never been one of hers.

gotom Lukem, tonk and Janice are obviously the same person. Notice how they forget the is as in He better off the show instead of He IS better off the show, next season gonna be amazing, Rob Lowe supposed to play, again the is is missing.
If you want to spam, don't make it so obvious because really you are making yourself look pathetic and nobody will take you seriously. Go learn how to write, then you can try to spam if you want.
Season 5 was completely terrible without George. I really do have to thank Shonda for showing me this in advance. I will walk away without any regret now.
George made the show better. Like one EW critic wrote, he made any episode he was in better just by his presence.
The ratings went down 16% when George vanished this year.
I know so many fans who won't watch without him. I won't. I'm just curious what the ratings are.
I can see them being good for the premiere because a lot of people will want to say goodbye to George.

I don't like George. He better off the show. I also agree with Luke and Janice. The show was great without George last season. That's how they should have run the show from the beginning. Keeping George air time as minimum as possible. Next season gonna be amazing.....

I can't believe Shonda would think we would want to see a character we love get hit by a bus.
I wanted to see George during season 5. I wanted to see his fight to gain his respect from his interns. I wanted to see how he adapted to living alone in the apartment (did he even live here? Shonda didn't care enough to tell us). I wanted him to find happiness, to discover what he wanted to do as a doctor and to show everyone what a great doctor he was.
I would have loved that. Who cares about her shocking us in the end? Does she really think the George fans would have rather not be shocked and gotten to see their faviorite character instead?
Doesn't she think TR would have stayed if he had had that story? I do.
But even if he hadn't, we would still have gotten to see him excel and become respected before he died. Not the George that was forgotten by everyone he cared about and felt so useless and unloved, he had to join the army.
That's what I can't forgive her for.

Wow. It's funny how you can disagree. I thought season 5 was just so boring and awful without George. It lacked heart. George always brought heart to the show. I spent the whole season missing him.
I'm not going to watch this season. I watched mostly for Gizzie and when Shonda ended them, I watched for George.
It ahs been hard to see her ignore George the last two seasons.
She seemed to fall out of love with him. I don't know if it's because of IW, but that is how it felt.
I got annoyed at her saying TR had emotionally checked out.
I never got that impression. TR gave everything he had to George till his very last scene.
Shonda did check out on George though. She stopped caring and she forgot what an amazing character he was.
I didn't want TR to come back to die. If she really wanted to do that story, she would have canned the cliffhanger and gone for that story.
Writing a good goodbye for George should have been way more important than some cheap shock factor.

Oh and TR is going to be a huge Broadway star. I can see that. He already ahs two roles, two lead roles, which is way more the Isiah the jerk ever had.
I agree HG, season 5 was so boring without our wonderful George.
TR is the best, and I'm glad he told his side without bashing anyone. He was very diplomatic and classy as always.

I didn't want to see that episode, anuflas. George is my favorite character and I have seen him go through so much pain the last few years. Why the heck would Shonda ever think I would want to see a character I love so much get hit by a bus?
Doesn't she get how much the fans love George and that we wouldn't want our last image of him to be hit by a bus?
I'm glad TR decided bnot to come back. He loved his character enough to want the fans to be left with a beautiful gorgeous George in his uniform, finally shown as the hero he truly is.
That tells me he gets the character and how his fans feel about him a lot better than Shonda does.
I'm not even going to comment on her killing him off like that.
Couldn't George for once in his life get a happy ending?
Him dying is NOT what the fans wanted.
