@anuflas - I was thinking the same thing about if something should happen to Mer or Der and the other cannot make a medical decision because they are not "legally" married. That's the only repercussion scenario I can think of. PLEASE Shonda, don't let ANYTHING bad happen to Derek!

Well, the supposed 'lovechild'-esque guy has been cast (supposition, not actually happening) as a new intern/resident or whatever so going on to find him might not be a real oportunity since he's already in SGH. It's the rumor going around. I hope that Derek takes the job. It's time. :) This may have to do with Larry Jennings (head of the board) coming back for the SP. Does he want a change?

Has anyone checked out the second promo now on you tube? The chief seems to be trying to talk Der into taking over from him. Maybe the chief needs personal time and takes Mer with him to search for a possible realtive? That's just a wild idea of mine

Aww, a ferryboat wedding. That'd be nice. PD and SR seemed confident that the post it was the wedding but legal issues have to be resolved there. I keep having the ugly thought of Mer or Der in the gurney and the other not being able to make medical decisions for him/her. I'm still trying to figure out how things are going to work with EP gone. EW (printed edition) said that PD was going to have a good storyline not involving Mer while EP is still on leave. Maybe this will push him to get a marital license and run away for an episode or so? I think we are going to have to endure the first half of season of being still Steven's Anatomy. I'm ready for it. PD's storyline is going to get me through :) S, several ABC stations didn't showed GA. Don't worry, just hope that it doesn't happen in the SP! wannabeMer, I'll also never understand why PD didn't get an Emmy nom. He did some awesome work there. I'll start writing hate mail to the Academy, LOL.

I'm not convinced they'll revisit the wedding for MerDer. But if they do, I'd like to suggest they go alone and get married on one of Derek's beloved ferry boats. Do the captains of ferry boats have the same powers to perform weddings as captains on ships. The above is only a suggestion. Can but hope that something will cause MerDer to need a marriage certificate.

I think they might actually have a real wedding in the 6th season. I hope so...I wanna see Der in a nice tux and Mer in a beautiful wedding dress. And her best friend as maid of honor. And could all this happen without Izzy being the focus for a minute??? LOL!!! After all this show isn't called Stevens Anatomy. It is "Grey's Anatomy". I just thought of something. It is going to be just awful when Der and Mer do get married and George isn't there:(

I've just looked at the offical description of season 6 (on a nother blog site) 'After a long, hard struggle, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo)and Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) may have finally won the battle for each others hearts, sealing their love with vows written on, of all things, a blue post-it note' Umm. Don't like the bit where it says 'may'

Did anyone actually see these two episodes air? I'm starting to panic now because it seems like maybe you did ... my ABC channel only showed football and no Grey's at all. Did my station go rogue?

@anuflas -- I ALWAYS want to hug him and I will NEVER understand why he didn't get an Emmy nomination and win for this season. But then, I'm a die-hard PD/DS fan.

I love Cristina the most, and in this episode there is one of the best scene in whole season, maybe in whole show, for me, when Cristina in front of Bailey and Alex and others in the e.r. says that Izzie is sick. In that moment, Cristina grew up, showed that she is there for Izzie (not like Denny), that she is her friend and she want to help her. . . . Sorry for my grammar . . .

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Amelia: I think I'm falling in love with Owen Hunt, and I'm really afraid that it's gonna destroy me.
Derek: It wouldn't be love if it didn't.

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.
