Tonight's Grey's Anatomy, "Give Peace a Chance," is all about Derek. Which we imagine will prove quite popular. But our man is certainly under the gun from the beginning.

When he learns that a Seattle Grace employee has a near-fatal tumor, Derek wants to operate anyway, to do whatever he can. Richard, of course, is standing in the way.

In essence, McDreamy is fighting two battles tonight, the first to save lab tech Isaac's life, despite the very long odds, and the other against the Chief's dwindling authority.

More Chaos?

Will McDreamy save the day? Who's with him and who's against him? Is the Chief just a figurehead at this point? How will this developing power struggle play out?

What do you think and hope will happen on tonight's Grey's Anatomy?

who plays isaac?? i can't find his name on any cast list!! why not???

Halfway through watching this episode right now. I really dislike the way its running so far, too different from a "regular" episode. The music is different, the characters are acting different. Its all about Derek, which, they might think get better ratings, but its not Shepherds Anatomy here.. ::sigh::

I hope the Derek kicks ASS

I read Shonda's comments about MerDer's rocky road cos of Der's conflict with the chief. Uck. Then I read Shonda's remark about Der wanting a family and Mer probably not. Ugh.

I think so too. I hope the fights between the Chief and Derek don't affect much the MerDer relationship!!
Maybe the board will talk to Derek again about being chief!! Richard isn't doing his job of Chief of Surgery right, with locking himself in his office all day long.

I think Derek will be Chief by the end of the season. Or as a replacement while Richard gets his act together. I feel someone is going to hit the bottle soon... So excited for Shepherd's Anatomy. :P

Can SGMWH have a chief who's authority is ignored by his attendings? Where's the chief of MW, surely that character ought to be taking advantage of the chief of SGH's folly with this merger. Will Der be the chief by the end of this season? Surely Der will want to be a chief of surgery, maybe that's how S7 will finish with Der going off to be a chief of sugery somewhere and Mer finishing her residency with him?

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Burke was- He took something from me. He took little pieces of me, little pieces over time, so small I didn't even notice, you know? He wanted me to be something I wasn't, and I made myself into what he wanted. One day I was me Cristina Yang, and then suddenly I was lying for him, and jeopardizing my career, and agreeing to be married and wearing a ring, and being a bride. Until I was standing there in a wedding dress with no eyebrows, and I wasn't Cristina Yang anymore. And even then, I would've married him. I would have. I lost myself for a long time. And now that I'm finally me again, I can't. I love you. I love you more than I loved Burke. I love you. And that scares the crap out of me because when you asked me to ignore Teddy's page, you took a piece of me, and I let you. And that will never happen again.
