FlashForward Theory of the Week: A Baptism for Nicole
Warning: the following theory is not based on any FlashForward spoilers. It's ours and ours alone, for better or for worse...
Last night, viewers learned a couple things about the Benford's babysitter, Nicole:
- She got the job through her relationship with Aaron's (late?) daughter Tracy.
- In her future vision, she saw herself being drowned and felt as though it was a punishment of some sort.
Nicole assumes she has actually witnessed her own murder, but we disagree. Didn't the man seen "drowning" her look a lot like the priest with whom she consulted? And didn't that priest act very strangely when she asked him for assistance?
Our best guess: Nicole is in the middle of a baptism during her vision. The sin the priest is washing away? An affair with Mark Benford!
We're very confident about the baptism theory, and we're throwing out the possibility of Nicole sleeping with Mark because the two were affectionate last night. If Olivia's flash forward comes true and she leaves Mark for Lloyd, there's no telling how he'll react.
Are we crazy or are we on to something? Leave a comment. Let us know!

I think we are forgetting the most important part of Nicole's flash forward, she says she DIES! The flash forward shows someone (yes, it does look a lot like the priest she goes to talk to) holding her under water. But the way the person is holding Nicole is in no way similar to a baptism. Who ever it is that is holding Nicole under is holding her by the neck and there is too much of a struggle, baptism is a willing act. Second, at the end of the flash forward we see Nicole dead in the water. My theory is that she is the one who let's D. Gibbons into the Benford's lives and possibly is responsible for Charlie being kidnapped by D. Gibbons.

well it was very blurry but he seemed to recognize her after being prompting about the vision, and i paused it, and it looked quite a lot like the priest. my only question is why was he holding her down for so long under water if marks vision lasted quite long and we saw quite a lot from his vision and everyone saw the same vision time then surely she would've been underwater for 2 mins 17 or whatever, i know humans can go without air for three mins but why would the priest keep her under for that long cuz yeah... thats quite a long time, she was also making a lot of discomfort sounds, so unless the priest was properly mean and just felt like drowning her, i'm a bit confused i think maybe the priest just doesn't really like her

Since she saw the face of the man holding her under the water, would she not have recognized him as the priest when she went to see him?
