Here are a pair of clips from next week's Gossip Girl, "Enough About Eve," that really drive this point home. Well, at least one of the two sneak peeks does.

The first, however, is just nauseating. In a cute way, but still. Dan and Olivia (Hilary Duff) flirt, giggle and talk about her meeting Rufus for the first time:
