"Invasion."
It's an ominous title for an episode, but it appears apt. Tonight, Seattle Grace and Mercy West merge and the landscape of Grey's Anatomy as we know it will be altered. Forever.
As evidenced by the previews, pictures and Grey's Anatomy spoilers we've posted this week, the tension is rising, the stakes are high, and the battle lines are clearly drawn.
All we can do is sit back, watch, and hope.

I can't understand why the chief of a hospital that is ranked 12th is chosen to be chief of that hospital and a rival, better rated hospital. Surely the chief of MW should be somewhere in the picture?

I just began watching this program and I love it. I'm waiting to get the rest of my dvd's from Netflix so I can catch up. I am glad Izzie is gone. After watching season 1 I wanted her off she does not bring anything to the program. As for acting she can't even hold a candle to Sandra Oh. So Yeah Izzie is gone!

Grrr, what has happened to grey's. I'm just about ok with the fact Meredith is all laid up in bed but then they bring in new orange scrubs and make Christina cry! Talk about killing the show. It is making me want George back and i was almost accepting of the fact he is dead. Cried like a baby when Izzie was getting fired - there was nothing wrong with the old team, I'm hating all this change. Mark, Bailey and Derek were just shoved into the background. Needs to be fixed pronto.

psyco kabbal, cant pray away the gay, the only parts that were really good. overall, it was good. but just watching it scene by scene wasnt that goood...but still..you cant pray away the gay!!! i

The chief is the worst boss ever!!! He places the blame on everyone but himself and that really makes me hate him. I have slowly been feeling this way ever since he told Meredith about Derek proposing, and then I got really mad when he fired Izzie and blamed it on everyone else besides himself. Hell, he even was a reason that Izzie left Alex. But it was a great episode. Hate the mercy west people. Loved Callie and Izzie tonight. Sara and Katherine's performances was amazing!!! Love Grey's!!!

No McSteamy? Really? Bailey time for like 3 minutes? I think this ep wasn't good at all. No one who could be mean to the new Mercy West guys was there (enough). We know that Derek isn't mean, ever, but Hunt really annoyed me, I definitely miss Burke too, that would have been fun.
And the fact that Shonda might want us to feel the pressure of "our" guys makes no sense, with Mer in bed give us some fun.

@T - The new resident was referring to Lexie, when she and the other interns took out the appendix and almost killed Sadie.
@Kristen - The guest star who played the daughter of the sick father was Kathleen Wilhoite. She does mostly TV - I recognized her as Liz Danes from Gilmore Girls.
Holy cow, I totally wasn't expecting Izzie to leave Alex! I thought he would go in there and say "Izzie got cut" not "Izzie left me". But it makes sense because if she didn't leave him then we'd have no reason not to see her over the next few weeks, since there'd be scenes at home of her and Alex. I wonder how things will work out when her hiatus is over?

Changing the subject... I feel a cross over between private practice and grey's anatomy comming... just saw the pp episode and turns out tha Sam did a cardio residence plus has the hots for bailey... maybe he's the one to come and bring cristina out of the dark and twisty place!!!!

I do not like the Mercy West people @ all and Izzie leaving alex NOT COOL! I feel bad for Christina and lack of cardio surgeries. There was a Mer/Der scene which made me happy and well I'm still feeling very sorry for Alex he opened his heart for her and she just takes off. Shonda rhimes better do something about this
