She is so his daughter ! I mean think about it .The girl who is playing her is only 19 so that rules out her being his mother .This post rules out her being his ex . And I don't think its his sister because ,just like a lot of you have said already , how in the world would that cause a rift between lexie and mark ? Now a daughter on the other hand would ! I hope we get a little more info on this storyline soon because it has so got me hooked!

I think it is his daughter too, I mean, none of the other possibilities would really cause trouble for Mark and Lexie or work with the actress the´ve chosen. I truly think it is a good plot for Mark and Lexie, besides, you know, troubles mean more sreen time lol And it would definetly be a problem, because Lexie and especially Mark are both so concious of their relationship. I just hope they stay together in the end. Slexie should be forever.

maybe that actress is 19, but she looks like older, I don't know, maybe it's the make up, I don't want a daughter but If it is a daughter, I don't like the casting, it's a horrible mistake

The actress is only 19 so it's definitely NOT his mom. They had a casting call for a character named Riley who was 18 and kind of trashy. My guess is, the actress Leven Rambin will be playing Riley and she'll be his daughter. Should be interesting! Her and Lexie would be only 6 years apart. I just hope they stay together through this. I love Mark and Lexie!

It's not the same. In ER, Sarah isn't Tony's daughter. Remember they did the paternity test later and resulted negative, which prompted the grandparents to sue for full custody.
Even if GA decides to go with the daughter storyline, it wouldn't be the same.

My first thought was: "Omg he has a fricking kid!" It must be a daughter... McSteamy DNA, can't mean his sister! Must be a kid... The manwhore days of old are catching up with him! Hope it doesn't spoil what Mark and Lexie have, they're my fave couple! :D

Sloan is getting all gooey and becoming a nicer person since his relationship with Lex. maybe that's too conventional a character for GA, Sloan was interesting when he was horrid to the interns and residents, but loathsome at times

hope, I think that Lex is interested in Plastics.. or maybe Mark himself wants her on his service often.. remember Meredith in the early seasons.. always working with Derek[especially in s1], much to Bailey's dislikes.. and she still work with him often, more than other services.
AnD I am with you on Mark asked Lexie too early to move in with him. I hope whoever is coming do not damage the Mexie relationship. I love them together. And Mark isn't a manwhore anymore, he grown so much and he is a better man:)

justafan, I think that's an interesting idea,lying by omission o Mark's behalf. Will Der have known about this? But did Sloan know about this lovechild?
Why is this woman character in PP too? Perhaps she's searching for her biological father and doesn't know it's Mark.
I really think Der was right in saying it was too early in Sloan's relationship to get lex to move in. Why is lex seemingly ALWAYS working with Sloan?

How about if they switched a plot line/foiler around? Maybe one of Sloan's parents had an affair that resulted in a love child? Thus taking a twist on the chief/Ellis love child half sbling to Mer.
I'm trying to figure out if Mer had a half brother from her mom, and a half sister from her dad, the 2 half siblings wouldn't really be related to each other would they?
The supposed pregnancy spoiler/foiler from last season turned out to be a minor character, intern Megan.
This teenager could be a result of Sloan's younger days. Sloan said he had always managed to avoid being tied down when women started getting too settled. Lexie would only be a few years older than her boyfriend's daughter. Ouch! That's surely a bigger plot possibility to upset Sloexie's relationship

I knew it!
It is most likely to be a daughter. He's 40, she's 18. Most likely that the mom got pregnant at the height of his manwhore-ness (22).
Half sister isn't really doing it for me. Meredith already has two half sisters and supposedly, the love child (which I think it was a foiler after all)is still yet to come. The storyline would be repeated.
Besides, Mark said that he was raised by parents who weren't really interested in having kids. I think that Mark's parents didn't have any kids after him, especially after the Shepherds sort of adopted him.
I also don't think Mark is aware of his parent status either.
