I must agree w/anuflas.
As much as I love Izzie,KH is not what's making the ratings go up or down its how the episodes are like. People hated invasion because of the MW people,people hated the premier because of George dying and how they handled it,people ADORED the character centric episodes because its focused on characters that we really want to know better and not the same characters over and over.
I love Izzie and KH is an excellent actress (can't say anything about her personality,because the media twists things and people assume that they are right which doesn't make sense) KH has an opinion like anyone else its just that in hollywood it can be misinterpreted (Not putting her name in for emmy noms? her on David Letterman and the "17 hour workday comment"?) Ok people can have an opinion all they want but please don't mix up the actor and the character unless u have separated them. So she wants to take time off to spend with her daughter is that an issue? It shouldn't be so

No offense Silverorises, but KH's disappearance hardly has to do anything to the ratings. If you have paid attention to other shows in their 6th season, they are considerably down from S1. It's an aging show. Do some research.

I am tired of all the Izzie/KH haters on this forum. Well you guys can say all you want but there is no denying the fact that KH is a great actress and that is why she has got the EMMY and all of ur Meredith, Christina,Lexie etc etc have got nthing. Plus izzie's character is most inspiring and all the episodes without her are just a total waste of time. No wonder the show's rating is going so down this season as there is no izzie.

It's really up to you, but this show shifted from being Meredith's story to an ensemble story. It's transition. It's change. It happens and it can be good. Hardly there is a show that manages to stick to the original formula and work for as long as GA has been in the air (so far, only Friends, at my judgment, has). ER made transition when George Clooney left and it wasn't sacrifice because it lasted 10 more seasons.
In my eyes, the episodes that have been lacking of Izzie, have been great. No more whiny judging from her. She is now the weak link for the Fab 4.
I knew the minute that I saw KH being in GA, that she wouldn't be there long. I just wish that she would make a decision so that Alex's storyline can move on.
Also, the fab 5 started out as interns (already graduated from Med School), not med students.

I disagree with you the shows has just been barely watchable while izzie was away. This season has to many characters involved in the show it takes away from the classic grey's anatomy which was about the 5 now 4 interns and watching all the trials and tribulations that they go through from becoming med students to doctors over the years. Now we have another group of doctors who I really don't want to learn about or care for that matter. To me the show has changed from something great to some ok. That's not the grey's anatomy that i started watching from season 1.

Arizona and Teddy? I think Arizona was just being nice and polite. Also, when Teddy set Cris straight was a glorious moment for Arizona, since I think she's still upset about Cris dishonesty on Peds.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions about KH/Izzie. I dislike both and to be honest, the show has been great without her but that is me. I wouldn't be devastated if she left. I only tolerate her for Alex's sake.

I think what Izzie meant when she said Alex had put her through a lot was in reference to the earlier seasons (ie. before Season 5). Alex cheated on her previously with Olivia, and he treated her quite shabbily (like during the whole Ava-is-pregnant saga when Izzie was just trying to be a good friend to him). Alex had been a jerk in general until Season 5.
I sympathise with Alex too when Izzie just left, because he really has changed and is much better now. But I think I can understand where Izzie is coming from as well when she said that he had put her through a lot as well.

I think people are reading too much into the Arizona thing. Remember whenshe seemed kind of flirty with Derek. She was just being snarky to Christina and the scrub cap thing to bring up Teddy's bestfriend. Shonda said this season she is committed to showing Callie and Arizona in a relationship, and also the writer of this episode said Teddy admiting to Owen about her feelings would make him examing his feelings. I am a huge Callie and Arizona fan and hope all of these people who keep exagerating Arizona's kindness don't give Shonda any ideas. Besides I don't think Arizona would cheat and she loves Callie she said it once to Callie's dad and to Callie.

OMG!!! I noticed the bit about the scrub cap too the second time I watched this eppy. But that can't be happening. Not after the i love you's last week. Butttt I just watched the preview of next weeks episode and I seen Sloans daughter and I was thinking. Boy that girl Callie could really go for. LOL!!! They said that AZ and Callie would have some road bumps. But please don't let anyone break them up. They are great together and inlove. And after watching the eppy over again. I did feel a little sorry for Izzy. But I can't figure out what Alex put her through. She accused him of putting her through things. And I really don't know. Through her sickness he was there for her. And heart broke when she disappeared. Oh the new eppy next week looks fantastic. Fun Fun Fun!!!!

I am so tired of all the izzie haters wanting her to leave the show. Because of whatever stupid reason they see fit. I think that is most because they don't like the actress K.H. I think the character izzie has nothing to do with K.H. and also she is a great actress. I am ready for the second half of the season because izzie will be back and i hope izzie and alex can settle their differences and get back to normal.
