Nate played a very confusing role last spring and I think this year they have to do some damage control for this man. Looks like working as I hear a lot of "I like new Nate."

I may be in the minority here, but I seriously am liking the pairing of NS and DV.
    Colour me crazy I know.
But I also like that Serena is messed up. I like that she's not perfect. And I understand now that the writers are just using her Tripp thing to build up NS. Letting them get together easily wouldnt be GG! This whole Tripp thing has really got them thinking about where they stand with one another to regards to feelings.
    I like that!
They are like little fallen (slightly whorish) angels.

As for DV, well played I reckon. Having the threesome bring up the feelings for Dan, but making him have to really consider if its worth pursuing V, if it might mean losing her eventually, friend and all in the long run.

    CB are adorable as always.
I love that Chuck supports Serenate!

Here's a note to think about: in Season 1, we knew from Episode 1 that Chuck wanted Blair like water and salt, and every move was part of that machinery leading up to the glorious Episodes 7-8. And then the terrible unraveling through Episode 13! It was a perfect long-range storyline. And then they did it again in the first half of season 2, with kind of a mirror/parallel of season 1. This time around, I don't know what the long-range thread is. It's no longer Chuck and Blair, that's for sure. But if it's Serena and Nate--which would be good--we need to tug on it a little in each episode. There's still time--hopefully it's going to develop that way now.

But you can't do two seasons on Chuck and Blair's shoulders and then not keep that thread burning for their fans. They've been dating happily for half a year, right? And before that, two highschool years of scorching, unresolved passion? And this is Blair Waldorf of the Notebooks? You know there's a Blair Bass notebook too. That pres

Definitely my favorite episode yet this season.

    Dorota prednant- Adorable!

Dan's "new face"- I like the direction that storyline is going in. Oh and his phone conversation with Nate at the beginning was laugh worthy.

The letter- Dying to know what it says.

Eric- Awesome to the tenth power as usual. He had my favorite quote this week, when Jenny said "Don't you have anything to say to me?", and he replied "Your sweet potatoes are bland". Hilarious!

Cece- What can you really say about her besides that she kicks butt.

Eleanor Waldorf- SOO glad to see her back, but now she's leaving again :(

Oh Serena- When will you ever learn? We've seen the sad face in the limo, driving away while thinking of someone else. Only you were sitting next to Aaron Lame Beard instead of Nate's cousin/the married CONGRESSMAN. Really, Serena? Okay, best case scenario: You move to Washington D.C. and become related to Nate. Worst case scenario: Your new boy toy goes crazy and gets you into a

Mediocre. The problem is lack of long-range planning. If we're supposed to be convinced that it's Serena/Nate, then we need to see it ALL SEASON LONG. That's what makes Drama, folks. When Nate is with Bree, we need to see some catty dismissals of Bree from Serena, to make us wonder if she still has a little thing for Nate. When Nate and Serena are joining forces to help Carter, we need to have a little more of Nate making remarks about how someone better than Carter should be the beneficiary of Serena's interests. We need some longing, confused stares or something!

Chuck and Blair were hot even when they weren't together because at any moment, some random, brief surfacing of the volcano of passion might occur. Nate and Serena? That's like throwing a pair of wet sponges together. Might stick, might not. I do not blame Mr. Crawford's acting, either--I think he's been unusually good all season. We're also just tired of Boobs McGee there flitting from Loveofherlife to Loveofherlife ever

i miss chuck and blair chemistry too. i think they waste too much time on other characters. no they both feel so perfect, and perfect is boring. they are issue free i guess.. showing tht they are really in love. but they dont have to be so boring...! grrr
cant wait for he next episode. despite my irritation with GG, i still need it ever mondays. gonna hate the 3 month hiatus.

  7. kalemia

Oh no, maybe no more Cyrus and Eleanor? What's with this show? People looove them. Is it too much to ask Cyrus hugs Chuck for once? I really wanted to see that.
As usual Dan and Vanessa are really just killing screen time. Maybe writers really have no idea what to do with this lamest couple.

    GG.
epic fail in season 3 so far.
    only one episode was good.

Chuck and Blair...To quote Cyrus: "Not enough! Not enough!"

I hate how the two most complex and interesting characters have become... so trivial. They both have just become plot devices! Decorations! They shoot out witty liners or are just filler space!

Not that Serena's drama is not scandalous, it's just because it's brought upon her from her own stupidity. They moved something between them way too fast! They met one episode and were having an affair the next! Also, she has no chemistry at all with both Nate and Tripp. Tripp just gives off pervy creeper vibes and Nate is just too stiff. Dud.

Chuck and Blair? Where has't thine fled?

Is Gossip Girl actually back??!!!!! Finally, an awesome episode! Serena is such a stupid whore, but at least it's EXCITING!!

  12. scout

Serena is such a train-wreck! Everything she touches this season is a dud!! I'd rather see her with boring Nate than by herself at this point. And Dan? Ugh, why did they let Hilary leave? She was the best thing to happen to this shown since season 1. I hope they bring her back. Putting Dan and Vanessa together is the WORST thing to happen since Vanessa's arrival.
While I thought this season was going uphill, Duff's departure and Serena's endless downward spiral has proved me wrong.

I just need to sound off here, but before I do let me just say one thing "Whatcha Say" at Thanksgiving dinner? SERIOUSLY? First, down goes the writing of Gossip Girl and now the MUSIC? What's next?! I mean, I don't personally have a problem with the song, I like it when I hear it on the radio, but Gossip Girl has always been about showcasing UNKNOWNS. The soundtrack is always great. It was just so out of place and ridiculous. As my friend Kelsi attested, they could have at least used the original "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap that that song was so obviously stolen from.
    End mini music rant.

Hi. I just wanted to comment on this. The reason they didn't use the original sample, "Hide and Seek" is b/c they already used that song during the end of the Second Season Finale of The OC.

    Serenate is awful.
    no chemistry.
and Serena clearly has made Nate her second choice.
he needs someone WAY better than her.

the only good person in that relationship is Nate.

The first episode this season that I want to rewatch - in fact, I wanted to rewatch by the time I was only half-way through!
SO many dramas, so little time, crammed into so little space. Those who see V as useless, well i think her & her mom were perfect additions to that Thanksgiving table, teasing out tantalizing tidbits that might otherwise have fallen under the table. My view of Serena, as clueless yet beautiful blonde, sadly didn't improve by the end of the episode, though it looked like it might when she apologized to Maureen. Maureen looks like she'll be adding a bit of spice to the mix over the upcoming episodes, and I like her spunk.
The Waldorf Girls storyline had a wonderful & unexpected twist that I think no one saw coming.
Nate was terrific in this episode, at turns witty, funny, poignant... both actor & character have really grown, even since last season. NS is such a better pairing than NB (not only because CB even at its most chaste/boring is the best), b

Not that I'm justifying or glorifying Serena's choice to go with Tripp, but there's a lot of pressure there she's being guilted into. She's being asked to choose between a boy who, to the best of her knowledge, only likes her and a man who is leaving his wife, throwing away his career as a CONGRESSMAN, and is risking a monumental scandal that will ruin his social, personal, and career life forever - to be with her. It's no longer a matter of who she wants to be with more. Instead, it's a situation of who needs her more; and in her viewpoint, the clear answer is Tripp.

That being said, a lot of of people are being hypocritical. You whine and complain that Gossip Girl no longer has that 'OMG' factor; that their scandals are not all that scandalous anymore; that they no longer 'go there'. Now that you'e gotten it (Serena entering into an affair with a married man - imagine how widely covered this huge political scandal might be) you bitch about how much of a 'slut' she is. You got

OMG i was literally screaming when Nate told Serena that and the camera went to Dan!
and i just saw the preview for the next episode and OMG it's going to be amazing, i hope Nate really punches Tripp for hurting Serena, that would really bring Serenate together!
And Dorota Pregnant! WOW! but i don't want her to leave the show for the baby!

LOVE LOVE LOVE SERENA AND NATE. Can't wait for them to happen.
Really am disliking Jenny - such a twit. Love Blair and Chuck as always. Dorota preggers - LOL that will be fun.

  23. Abby

I used to like Tripp and Serena but now they are both just annoying and camera hogs. Thank god Nate beats him up next week. It really sad how much screen time they are giving them while Chuck had 5 minutes, if even of screen time and there was like 2 minutes of Chuck and Blair all episode. Dorota was good though and Chase Crawford did some dam good acting in the last scene but after next week Tripp needs to take a hike and now that the plot is all set up we need some exicution.
