Boris Kodjoe has landed the lead role in J.J. Abrams' next project, Undercovers.
Abrams, of course, is responsible for a number of successful shows, most notably Alias and Lost. The upcoming NBC husband-and-wife NBC spy drama has been billed as a combination of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity.
Kodjoe will portray Steven, one half of the featured couple. On the small screen, the actor has appeared on Boston Public and Nip/Tuck.
Steven's wife, Samantha, has not yet been cast.
Earlier this week, Gerald McRaney was chosen to play the CIA operative that serves as the duo’s boss.
