Because their co-starring roles in Disaster Movie went so well...

Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Minnillo will be paired up again on an upcoming episode of CSI: NY.

"The ladies play two women who've managed to concoct a very interesting scheme that ends in murder," producer Pam Veasey says of the December 16 installment.

Kardashian and Minnillo will be joined on the episode by MTV veejay LaLa Vasquez, as well as the band Train, in one of the more random casting notes of all-time.

"I am so excited to be working with Vanessa again," Kardashian told People magazine. "I am fascinated by crime scene investigating. I swear, I wish I was a crime scene investigator sometimes!"

Too bad her busy schedule of posing in a bikini has gotten in the way of her dreams.

You don't see this very often: a series regular on a current hit show guest star on a different show later this season.

Elisabeth Moss, the critical darling of Mad Men for her portrayal of Peggy Olson, will guest star on NBC's medical drama Mercy.

She'll play Lucy Morton, a cancer patient that has lost her hair from treatment. She'll evenl don a head scarf to cover her baldness.

Sources say most of Moss' scenes will take place with Veronica and Dr. Harris. Her Mercy episode will air on November 4.

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we can report the following trio of casting scoops...

• Annie Potts (pictured) is coming aboard Two and a Half Men as Judith’s mother, who is newly out of rehab. The guest-starring stint will take place on the October 5 episode.
• Windell Middlebrooks has signed on to Scrubs as one of the medical school’s two security guards. He has very big, Janitor-like shoes to fill.
• No specific casting news for NCIS, but the show is looking for someone to play the  potentially recurring role of Agent Ruiz, an attractive, female jock of a federal agent.

A new actor has joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, while a former star is returning to One Life to Live. Read on for more details...

• Aaron D. Spears will portray Justin Barber The Bold and the Beautiful. Debuting on September 14, the character is the executive vice president of Spencer Publications and long-time friend of Bill Spencer, Jr.
• Dan Gauthier (pictured), who played Kevin from 2003-06 on One Life to Live, will make a return appearance this fall. He was last seen in August 2007.

A trio of shows announced interesting casting tidbits this week. Here's a look at each:

• Carlos Bernard (pictured, best known as Tony Almeida on 24) will appear on an episode of Burn Notice this fall.
• Josh Blacker has landed a role on V, most likely as a character named Billy Hamel.
• Steph Song has been cast as the villain Roulette on the sixth episode of Smallville's ninth season.

We've got a pair of casting tidbits of two new fall shows:

• Gal Gadot will portray the recurring role of a top supermodel named Olivia on The Beautiful Life.
• Nick Zano has been added to the cast of Cougar Town; he'll play Courteney Cox's character's first boyfriend.

A couple of quick casting tidbits from the week:

• On September season premiere of Lie to Me, look for Michael Raymond James to guest star in an unannounced role. The actor appeared on the first season of True Blood as the serial killer Rene. He's also shown up on Boston Legal and Cold Case, among other shows.
• Comedian Louis C.K. (pictured) has signed on for a multi-episode Parks and Recreation arc. He'll play a Pawnee police officer and potential love interest for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler).

A pair of casting tidbits on a pair of new, promising new shows:

• Three Rivers, whose cast is led by Alex O'Loughlin, has added four-time Emmy winner Alfre Woodard (pictured) as a lead. She replaces Julia Ormond in the role of Sophia Jordan, the head of surgery at Three Rivers Hospital.
• Elle Macpherson and Corbin Bleu have been promoted to series regulars on The CW’s The Beautiful Life. On model-based show, Macpherson plays Claudia, a 1980s supermodel that owns the top modeling agency in New York; Bleu is a male model.

Sarah Carter is sinking her teeth into a new role.

The former Shark star has nabbed a regular role on CSI: NY.

Carter - who has also appeared on Smallville, Numbers and Dirty Sexy Money - will portray a forensic school graduate on track to become a CSI, according to TV Guide. Therefore, look for the character to first serve Mac Taylor's unit as a crime scene clean-up technician.

The publication also reports that Carter's character is harboring a major secret. Juicy!

CSI: NY premieres its sixth season on September 23.

A pair of new fall shows have undergone casting changes already.

First, former CSI star Louise Lombard will NOT be making the trek to NCIS: Los Angeles, even though she appeared in the two NCIS episodes that served as a backdoor pilot for the spin-off.

Instead, the series will recast its female lead, who will have the good fortune of starring alongside LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell.

Similarly, The Hollywood Reporter, states that Three Rivers is searching for a new head of transplant surgery, following the decision to replace Julia Ormond. It shouldn't be too hard to find a woman to work opposite star Alex O'Loughlin (pictured).
