Gossip Girl Spoilers: Latest on the Love Triangle

by at . Comments

Will Jenny come between Nate and Serena? Will Serena see it coming? Will Nate resist? How will this upcoming love triangle play out on Gossip Girl?

We'll have to wait until next year to find out, but E! Online has the latest on Jenny's plans (as well as some happier Upper East Side wedding news):

Q: Will Jenny get her knight in shining Armani? I've waited so long for Nate and Jenny to happen! Please, please tell me they will be a couple!

A:  According to a source: "Jenny definitely will try to steal Nate away" later this season, after Nate and Serena are more of a solidified couple.

However, in what has been written so far, "Nate is resisting."

That said, it certainly seems as though Jenny has fully embraced the dark side of her Machiavellian ways, because the whole Nate stealing is "going to be pretty underhanded by Jenny. Serena won't really suspect it for a bit."

So let's get this straight: Little J has screwed over her stepbrother/former BFF and now her stepsister too?! Talk about a character 180 from the first season! Do we officially have a new bad girl on the Upper East Side?

Q: Some Gossip Girl news please! Anything big coming up?

A: Dorota is getting married! Pretty sweet, no? And now that two people very close to Blair have gotten hitched lately (first mom, now Dorota), she has to be next right? OK, probably not. But a girl can dream.

Patricia.GG Says: I think she is afraid of so many things. Fear has to be one of the reasons and causes of her compulsions to act out of nowhere. And maybe this goes back to as Eleanor said "You know you love the spotlight, you always have. It's part of your charm". Maybe that's why she likes to be in the center of the attention of strangers when those closest to her don't show their dedication for her. Her father left her and her mom doesn't apply enough time on her. She must think she isn't worth the time and she has to go to extremes to capture that attention she craves. Exactly. You are so right. It goes back to what I said in the other thread. Serena doesn't know who she is. When a person is confronted with that complication in her life, she will do anything to be released from her self-imposed prison. She wants to feel valuable, worth someone's love and attention. She hungers and starves for it. And unfortunately, she is willing to fill this void in self-destructive ways that not only harms her but others around her. I think that is one of the reasons I'm curious about Nate. Serena doesn't need capricious, unpredictable Nate who changes women like he changes clothes. She needs someone solid and understanding. A person who will look past her flaws to simply love her without judgement and in turn comprehends that she does have the ability to be a better person as well.

'Maybe that's why she likes to be in the center of the attention', I'm not sure is about 'she likes'
she has this behavior, needs to make 'noise' so people know she exist , so she can be notice and if she stops will be invisible or disappear in people's lives.
Is more a unconscious path, ( a learn behavior as it was said) exept by this call of attention to daddy van der w.
That makes me worder, if he never anwser her phone calls, never put in touch, why send the letter?

you know what i want to happen?
A SERENA VS JENNY. it's like the old queen of the whole new york (including hollywood) against a BK girl turned Constance Queen.
I would love to see Serena's dark, bitchy side on a girl-girl fight.
its something ive been wanting to see since season 1!!!
now is the time to let jenny have a taste of who she's messing with!

Yes CBSN, all true facts. We need all those things you said. You know, I actually liked Serena with Carter. We saw her more mature there and in 3x01 we saw the internal denial she has of her daddy issues. She denies to think that her father does not want her and that's why she is seeking attention in others. I am going to do what I like to do best, quote fanfictions. This one is one of my favorites and it relates to Serena and her daddy issues. S says “Remember Gossip Girl—
Nate “Are you kidding me? He says exasperatedly, “You want to talk about—
“She said I was irrelevant—
He huffs a little. “Serena that was high school, it—
“And when my own father made himself impossible for me to find that’s exactly how I felt. So when I got back to the city I spent my time trying to prove that I wasn’t— being everywhere that mattered, being talked about and followed—I needed to matter then, to prove it.
He’s staring at her, blinking confusedly, “Okay… he says, drawing the word out, “Fine. But what does—
“It didn’t make any difference, Nate, she tells him fervently, “It didn’t change anything— being talked about or photographed— I was still so scared of passing favor, of what came next—I was Serena Van der Woodsen and the world was watching me so they’d see me fade..." And this from TVGuide: Finally, what about Serena and her Tripping ways? Schwartz says her daddy issues should account for all of it. "She was trying to find her dad, and failing that, there's certainly an issue she's been dealing with in finding men in her life that will fill that void." It doesn't mean, however, that she won't redeem herself in the end. I think she is afraid of so many things. She must think she isn't worth the time and she has to go to extremes to capture that attention she craves. oh, Season1 was made of gold. Blair Waldorf must Pie was great. So much insight on those episodes.

EricPwns! Says:
I want Serena to end up with Nate.
I want her to fight for it and prove that she loves and wants him (because that would majorly improve her character development).
But I really do think Nate is cooler when he is in love with Serena. Kicking ass and taking names (Tripp), having thoughts, being loyal and not man-whoring, giving out love advice and fighting for the love of his life (debateable I know lol, but HE thinks she is). All of which happened around the time his feelings resurfaced for S. I loved your comments. I actually like Nate this season. I hope the writers don't screw it up. Patricia.GG Says: And yes, Nate's character is having an amazing improvement. He is maturing and we are seeing it. And it's all revolving around the time his feeling for S came back. I think he finally snapped after the so mentioned 3 years or maybe is was really the week in the bar that had most impact on him? I don't know how it happened but I'm glad it's happening. People would respect more Serenate if they have a hard time getting it right. They need to work out all of the issues they have. I mean if I was Serena I would be so confused. Why wait till now? Why not a year ago? Why didn't you fight harder if you loved me so much? The writers need to address that and make a believable background story for their relationship. I have faith in SN but not in the writers of the show. Patricia, I agree with you. In many aspects, we see changes in Nate, but will it last? One of the things my English Professor consistently hammered on in class was "Character Development". We questioned: What was the defining moment for the character that caused him to understand that his life was going in the wrong direction? Or what, in essence, is the particular moment he decided to change the direction of his life? Is Nate going through a phase, considering we are aware of his shaky, dubious history with women, or does he truly want to be with Serena? Is he willing to make sacrifices to obtain what he truly wants? I wonder what exactly was his defining moment, if he has really changed? As for Serena, she also needs to learn what making sacrifices of are all about. And I understand if she did question Nate's 180 in her direction. After her whole "Tripp debacle", does she really need to go down a similar road (even though Nate isn't married) with more drama and more disappointment? Now we have to acknowledge that Serena is so misguided she thought that being with Tripp was a sacrifice. Like mother, like daughter right? I posted this before and I will do it again. From Blair Waldorf must Pie: Serena: "Mom is such a hypocrite. In all these years she's been riding me about my behavior." Eric: "And here she is just mad at you for being her." This is a cycle Serena must break. She needs to step back and reevaluate somethings in her life. But it does beg the question: how can a person learn what is correct and right based on the misconceptions instilled in her as a child? It can be done. I think Patricia there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out with Serenate. And everything you said was true. I want more character development and background information in this story.

imo Nate loves Serena, and Jenny is just a fly that this bothering Nate!!,its pretty clear with this spoiler!!its too obvious that Nate doesn't love Jenny and never did,and Jenny doesn't love Nate either, she just want him!, for prove that she can have that she wants..c'mon she is so inmature!!
I will love to see Nate&Serena and Chair together!! i just love this 2 couples since the beginning!!!

Lauriec

Serena won't really suspect it for a bit. i think this is b/c its `for Serena is just "Little J", a mean Serena doesn't see Jeeny doing that, she can't see Jenny in "that way", i think Blair will suspect b/c she knows her in that way, that Serena doesn't

I love Serena and I totally want her and Nate to be together, but that girl needs to work a bit more to get what she wants. I can't wait to see her fighting for Nate. EricPwns! Says:

All of which happened around the time his feelings resurfaced for S. Yes, I agree. Very much! I want them to have some problems and that it'll be Serena to try harder. I want people to come in their relationship and S will be the one resisting and fighting for N. They need to show us that they want to be with one another. I mean at least try for us after all this time, to make it worth the while. And yes, Nate's character is having an amazing improvement. He is maturing and we are seeing it. He absolutely does, favorite character of GG. But the name ends with "k", just saying.

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Blair: Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It's movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be. Just like your scarf suggests that you'd like to sell used cars.
Dan: Vanessa gave me this scarf.
