Dressing provocative on stage or in a music video is different than walking down the effing street in the same outfit unless you're Lady Gaga separate your creative egos. When Taylor learns how to dress for the public, people will stop judging her.
Beyonce's dresses like she is about to go work a pole soon or about swirl on Jay Z but she doesn't dress like that when walking down the street. Same thing goes for Leighton, who dresses one way on stage but looks different when going to a restaurant or hanging with the cast. Taylor on the other hand does not.

liked her. now i hate her. she cant do long hair. she thinks she knows everything. good actress but seriously too full of herself for words.
Ed's music hasn't been used on the show either. And unless they are showing HER character in some coke den or a Courtney Love Costume party I doubt they ever will. :]
NGL, I love some of her music, it's pretty good. I just.. Something about her bothers the shit out of me and it might be a little jealousy but it's more then that too, lol.

Some people should go arrested. Judging people for their ambitions and for the way they look is as prejudiced as calling bad things things for a person with another type of color or with other sexual preferences

im sorry but just because she dresses that way and looks that way doesnt make her a bad person like so many of you are making in personal although you don't actually know her. Also im sixteen and i don't know what i want to do with my life and i wish i did, so good for Taylor for being ambitous.

I don't exactly know my honest opinion of her, but I have to say, I like this picture of her, I think she looks better with long straight hair, it reminds me of season 1 Jenny not season 3 so called 'badass' Jenny.

As cocky as Taylor does sound in interviews, it doesn't give you a right to bash and make fun of her when she's trying hard to pursue her singing career. Leighton's not a great singer as Taylor but yes she is humble but unlike Taylor herself but if yu guys can give Leighton's singing career a chance you should be able to give Taylr a chance too.

"I have it on good authority that a new Terminator movie is in the works. Written by one of Gossip Girl writers, famous for his inspiring fictional work on the show, the story is based on the 80 year old Taylor, apparently still struggling to be taken seriously, as she sends Arnold back in time to when she had just turned two, to help her understand what went wrong there, because as predicted she is finally out of angst. The story takes a twist when Arnold, who had apparently got his software updated, surprises Taylor with what people say would become the next "I'll be back" phrase, as he says "ARE YOU SERIOUS?""

yeah not many actor turned singers have successful careers unlike singers turned actors.
singers have an easier time being triple threats than actors do.

I think one of the main reasons she's not being taken seriously isn't because she is sixteen, but what she is wanting to pursue.
Obviously someone who wants to start a music career needs to want it bad and start really young so I'm not bashing her for that if it's what she wants to do.
However, people won't take her seriously just like several others in her position. How many tv or even movie actors/actresses try to have a singing career get maybe one hit and then are done. A lot! Just look at all the Disney Channel stars and such who are her age.
That is why she's not going to be taken seriously among a few other things... But if she is serious and this is who she really is then eventually people will either say they don't like her or accept her, but admit yes it's who she is and it's what she wants to do.
One big question for me though is where are her parents? Yes, she is sixteen and these days girls like to dress slutty (i'm in high school and also sixteen so I see

Good for her that she knows what she wants to do with her life, but since age 2. Like someone said earlier, who is even able to remember that far back. I'm quite proud that my 2 yo twins can count to 10 and remember almost all the words the words to several songs, but there's no way they know what they want to be when they grow up. They don't really understand what that means. If she were coached better before interviews (either by her parents or her agent) they would have told her to say she's "known since a young age." And yes she needs to dress more appropriately. The pic with her wearing garters out in public, really?!?! How is an adult supposed to take that seriously. As for her character, I did like Jenny until she cut her hair. Agnes was her downfall.

It seems like this is a good snapshot of her state-of-mind today. That's not to say that it won't be different in a few months' time. To me she comes across as more open than many celebs, who cover up their flaws with PR BS. I admire her candor when it would be easier for her to present some photo-shopped, quote-friendly version of herself. Unfortunately the side-effect of this candor is that she's going to sound like a pillock every now and then.
