When United States of Tara returns for a second season on Showtime, it will feature a new alter ego for the show's main character.

Viewers will meet Shoshanna, who creator Diablo Cody describes as a "mentor" to the Gregson family.

But she's not the only new character to make an important appearance on season two: as previously announced, Joey Lauren Adams will recur on the comedy as Pammy, a love interest for Buck.

Following brief, one episode stints on Veronica Mars and Party Down, this will make Adams' first extended run on a series. Below, we've got your first look at her in the role of a bartender that serves Tara/Buck:
