Grey's Anatomy is brand new tonight, although in a way it is quite old. "Time Warp" will feature three separate flashback sequences as the doctors look back on past cases.

We'll get to see Callie shortly before she was introduced to the show, Bailey as a fresh-faced intern in '03, and the Chief working with Ellis in the '80s (see sneak previews).

Are you excited about seeing these unique vantage points into some of our favorite characters, or would you rather just have a conventional episode to look forward to tonight?

Either way, discuss it with the #1 fan community before, during and after the show in our Grey's Anatomy forum! TVF will post a review, quotes, music and more after it airs.

I liked this episode, although I think that Sarah Paulson was probably not the best choice for young Ellis Grey...not because of lacking acting skills, but I think that SP has such a warmness in her eyes, her whole personality seems so warm and kind etc, and let's face it, the Ellis Grey we knew (and never loved) was a cold-hearted bitch. In my opinion, she would never be that supportive of a patient, she'd only see the challenge in the case. So the scene where she and Richard are with the dying AIDS patient is just out of character.
But all in all, solid episode, nothing extraordinary, but loved the ending when Richard "took" the oath again. About the whole Izzie thing: I miss her as part of the group, her not being there just changes the whole dynamic. She's not my fave, but yesterday I watched a couple of eps from season 1 and 2, and they were soooo much more better with focusing on the main characters, bringing the group dynamic on etc.
Well I guess with George's death it pretty much died anyway, Izzie's absence is just another nail in the coffin.

Personally,I liked the episode. Even my 17 year old son, said this was a good one! I was very impressed with Richard and
Ellis 's characters being brought more into the light. It was good to see Meredith's face, as Richard talked about her mother and the impact she had on him,and the hospital, thru the work they were doing.
There are still so many demons plaguing her about her mother. Ellis payed a high price for her dedication to her work, and her daughter is a living reminder of that to Richard. But, there is such healing happening with his openness in this lecture. She is growing as a person thru all of this! Dr Bailey, has got to be one of my favorite characters, she is amazing! Born to be a doctor! Loved the candy throwing!! Especially, nailing Yang in the head. Bailey rules! Shonda Rimes never deviates from the True character of Bailey. Bailey, has many sides to her. But, Shonda never takes us to a place in her character, that is unbelievable for us. She develops her character in such a way, that is honest, endearing and very beautiful! Now, on to Calliope...I cannot help but fall madly in love with this character. There is something so beautiful and broken in her. She is such a conundrum. I have never seen a character on such a quest of self discovery. She is so confused about alot of things, but she embraces herself in the mist of it. She is a woman with convictions. Strong, independent, and driven
to be the best ortho doctor she can possibly be. She has so many interesting sides to be developed in her. Passionate and sexy, to opposite sexes. She is fun and playful with an impulsive nature, Quick to act on all of her urges. It will be interesting to see how Arizona tames this wild creature! Wonder if these two will make the long haul? I absolutely love them together! Thoughts on how Arizona will respond to this info about korev?

K-Heigl would have stayed great had she appreciated her job and what made her famous. But she took what Grey's gave her and decided to go out on her own. Which in the end is going to bite her in the ass. There are probably thousands of actresses with pretty faces out there that can act as well as she does. I am loving the eppys with out her and George. Everytime KH is on and episode it is as if the whole show has to revolve around her.

@jr, Totally agree with everything you said.

the song is called Everywhere i go by Lissie.
This episode was a bit of a disappointment for me too. I get what the writer's where trying to do with all the flashbacks (and the Bailey minnow thing was HILARIOUS) but it felt like more of a filler episode then a real one. I mean nothing happened?! Alex and Izzie's relationship is still up in the air, Mark and Lexie are still not talking and they've still got that weird "love triangle" to figure out with Teddy, Owen and Cristina. There's real story lines that need to be resolved writers! Let's get to it!

Hey all!! Does any one know the song name at the end of tonights episode? ( the time warp)

Ok, I'm sorry, but this episode was just down right boring. I thought it would be more interesting than it was, more drama, tension, etc. but this episode just seemed to disappoint. It was nice to see the three stories behind Richard, Callie, and Bailey, but they could have made them more exciting. Also, there was none of the interaction that I love. Alex and Christina always end up having the funniest conversations as they both throw insults at each other, and what about Lexie and Mark? What about Izzie? Come on, there are other story lines (extremely major ones I might add) that need to be wrapped up. I honestly forgot about the whole elevator thing until today. I think that the stories should have been told in a different way and more in depth. For example, I was really interested in the patient Callie was treating, but they didn't spend enough time for me to enjoy the story line. What I love about Grey's is that they always get in depth about all the patients, all their backgrounds, personalities, everything. This episode just showed the bare minimum. To me, this episode was like eating a pizza with no cheese. All in all, this episode was just lacking in substance.

This episode was just amazing. Grey's Anatomy really stepped it up tonight. It was heart-breaking and powerful. That last scene with Richard and Ellis and the AIDS patient was moving. This episode was just soo good.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Burke was- He took something from me. He took little pieces of me, little pieces over time, so small I didn't even notice, you know? He wanted me to be something I wasn't, and I made myself into what he wanted. One day I was me Cristina Yang, and then suddenly I was lying for him, and jeopardizing my career, and agreeing to be married and wearing a ring, and being a bride. Until I was standing there in a wedding dress with no eyebrows, and I wasn't Cristina Yang anymore. And even then, I would've married him. I would have. I lost myself for a long time. And now that I'm finally me again, I can't. I love you. I love you more than I loved Burke. I love you. And that scares the crap out of me because when you asked me to ignore Teddy's page, you took a piece of me, and I let you. And that will never happen again.
