Gossip Girl Producer Teases March 8 Episode
Two weeks from tonight, Gossip Girl returns with its first episode in nearly three months. "The Hurt Locket" (a great play on The Hurt Locker) airs Monday, March 8, at 9 p.m.
What can fans expect when the scandalous soap returns (see first promo)? Nate and Serena decide to explore the boundaries of their friendship, for one. That sounds hot.
Blair suspects that Chuck is having problems forgetting about the woman he saw at his father’s grave, whose identity remains unclear. That sounds significantly less hot.
Jenny agrees to accompany Damien to a State Dinner but is unaware that he needs her help with a drug exchange. Good to see J has achieved full-on drug mule status.
Meanwhile, Vanessa and Dan attempt to move past the awkwardness of Dan’s confession of love, and Rufus returns from a recent ski trip and tries his best to avoid Lily.
The wait is almost over!
Executive producer Stephanie Savage reveals: “We last saw Nate sleeping on a chair in Serena’s hospital room. Gossip Girl called Serena 'Sleeping Beauty' and referred to Nate as her 'prince.' Now we get to see this fairy tale for real."
"Serena and Nate, the golden couple, finally together. It was the huge reveal of S and N’s fateful coupling that night at the Shepherd wedding that set in motion the dynamics of our entire series, so it’s a big deal to finally have these two pair up."
"Blake [Lively] and Chace [Crawford] have amazing on-screen chemistry," Stephanie adds. "Their scenes together are some of the most fun and sexy we have ever shot.”
As for Chuck's mystery woman?
“[The last episode] left audiences wondering, 'Who was the mystery woman he saw at Bart’s grave?' Chuck wants to know too, and he spends the episode tracking her down."
"Here we are shooting on location in the lobby of the famed Algonquin Hotel, where Chuck confronts our mystery lady and demands the truth about her association with Bart, and any information she might know about Chuck’s mother."
"This episode kicks off a big emotional Chuck story that brings him and Blair closer than ever. Ed [Westwick] and Leighton [Meester] are at the top of their game in this arc.”
Thoughts? Will Serena and Nate last as a couple? Will Chair survive this new challenge? Which of these story lines are you more excited to watch play out?
