Five Grey's Anatomy Sneak Previews: "Suicide is Painless"

"Suicide is Painless" is a foreboding episode title, and these sneak previews of Thursday's Grey's Anatomy certainly live up to that billing. This week, Teddy must treat a gravely patient requesting her help with - in case you haven't guessed - assisted suicide.

This ethically questionable procedure is a primary focal point of the episode. Here's the patient confessing her wishes to Dr. Altman in the first of five sneak preview clips ...

Continue reading below for four more sneak peeks from the episode, including two in which Teddy asks for assistance in meeting her patient's request, and gets some resistance.

The fourth preview is an intense flashback to Owen's Gulf War days, interspersed with a conversation with Derek in the present. In the fifth, Callie makes a surprise confession.

I hate Owen, the pig murderer! Wish he would go back to war and leave the show... and he could even bring Teddy with him! Cristina would be better off without him. She should hook up with Jackson Avery ;) Much cuter!

I read some where that Shonda said adding new actors is going to mean the show can last alot longer. She also said that they where trying new things on the show this season. Making one actor the focus of and eppy. I thought it was great. I loved Derrick and Arizona being the focus of those 2 episodes. I wish they had kept up with that theme. As for Hunt, he is just ok when he is by his self. But when I see him attack Cristina I have to close my eyes till it is over. The way he trys to kiss her looks abusive and scary. Maybe I'm stupid and don't see what others see. But I hate to see them together. I kinda wish his stress issues would send him some where for treatment or have him in the hospital for awhile on the nut floor and bring back Dr. Wyatt to councel him. That would be interesting. He needs help before he hurts Cristina again. I just hope the new eppy isn't all about him. We waited so long to get a new eppy. Hopefully by the end of the new show we know what is going to happen wi

we saw for 5 seasons the show centered on meredith and derek.
what is the problem of changing things a bit and let the others characters shine?

also this episode help us understanding a little bit better what happen to the soldiers in the war.

Not really sure how I feel about this. I mean, Hunt isn't my fav character and I thought that his competition with Webber, was, dull.

However, his PTSD should be interesting to watch...

Do the tweets mean that MerDer will get a minute? Better than nothing, I guess.

@McIntern I love MerDer but I'm glad that we are not seeing them as much this season because it means they are happy, which is what I wanted. I dreading what they are going to do with them on the next 2 episode, because according to Krista Vernoff there will be MerDer is episodes 18 and 19. The writers exhausted me with MerDer drama for 4 seasons, I'm enjoying the break we are having this season.

I'll put my 2 cents in, not gonna watch the sneak peaks I'll wait till Thursday's episode to air. So please excuse me if this is off topic. But

I like Owen and his PTSD is so traumatic. Kevin McKidd is a great actor, and Owen and Cristina make a great couple.

Teddy and Mark not so much.

I understand that you don't want more to speak about Merder, this is okey so you want to speak the audience of the season 6 ,because this show from the beginnig lost almost 6 milions of viewers.Okey you want to see the war in iraq ,i'm so agreed ,but i don't tired to see always Hunt and ABOVE ALL tEDDY,I don't like Teddy and i that do ,i don't watch the show.In the whole season ,i wacth this triangle and then i wacth duo Teddy/Owen this is the same thing. The show is changed ,the dinamics are changed and the fans understood it ,the storyline didn't write so well,i 'm not watching more the same show ,this is another show. The three your inters are so brilliant when they are together, their professional growth,i didn't see,i saw many people to come in this show but without sense. The dear old Bailey there isn't.Mark is again so Tiger Woods then goes on Teddy. This show needs to come back a new life .Webber's story ,i was not interesting,Mark and her daughter was interesting for the first time

I don't like Owen either. But him having a story line is better than watching him try and eat christinas face. When they show that I wanna puick.

Can I just say something in this debate? (why am i asking, i'll just say it anyways :P)

This episode means a lot to me. My brother died in Iraq after being shot and bleeding to death at the side of the road. I hope it shows people about what is going on right now.

Also, I miss the older seasons (particularly George), and I miss Meredith and the gang, but this episode will really be touching to alot of families. I get everything about Ellen and stuff, but that doesn't mean I can't miss her
