Mary McDonnell to Return for Major Arc on The Closer

by at . Comments

The following casting tidbit is great news for fans of The Closer.

For the show's main character? Not so much.

Mary McDonnell has been confirmed for the show's sixth season, as sources tell Michael Ausiello that the actress will reprise her role as Captain Sharon Raydor, the straightforward head of the Force Investigation Division.

The character often clashes with Kyra Sedgwick's Brenda and will appear on a minimum of five episodes. A show source says Raydor will “create situations that come between Brenda and Pope.”
