Patrick Dempsey Confirmed For Role in Transformers 3
Paramount Pictures confirmed Tuesday that Grey’s Anatomy cast member Patrick Dempsey will star in Michael Bay’s third installment of the Transformers franchise.
The plot of the third film is being kept under wraps but we have learned that Dempsey will play Megan Fox’s boss in a role that is very “significant to the plot.”
The movie begins filming in May around the U.S. and in Africa, Moscow and China. The last two Transformers movies have grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide.
Transformers 3 will be released next summer - are you excited to see Patrick in this different kind of role? It'll certainly be a departure from the norm for him.

Ellen is still working during the break from GA, but is wanting to be the main care giver to her baby. Ellen likes her family holiday time
Patrick is fortunate that he has a wife who seems to undertake this role for his 3 children. He is still working too

Patrick, being in a top notch tv drama has its advantages,it gets you even more work. Plz don't leave GA until Ellen does

This is awesome! Haven't seen the Transformer movies, to be honest - heard the 2nd was terrible but the first was good. Anyway, it would be nice to see him in something other than "Maid of Honor" on the big screen. (Did anyone actually see that?) Dempsey rocks.

It's interesting that he is choosing to take his 2-3 month break from Grey's to do a movie...
Maybe he isn't as tired as EP and still likes doing GA?
