Paula Abdul to Return to the Judging Table

Paula Abdul is returning to the judging table.

Having left American Idol last year amidst a contract dispute, the wacky singer has signed on for Got to Dance.

She'll serve as the lead judge, executive producer, creative partner, mentor and coach on this CBS series, which will likely premiere in early 2010, around the same time as Idol.

The competition, which is based on a British reality show, is hyped as the first all-ages/all-genres dance series, akin to Simon Cowell's new singing project, The X Factor. It will cover everything from “ballroom to break dance, bhangra to ballet, and tap to tango," according to a press release.

Stacey: Do you know of any fires in this area?
Frank Kovick: There was one in ’41.
Stacey: There was one in ’41? Where?
Frank Kovick: In Sunrise.
Stacey: Sunrise…
Frank Kovick: It was huge, it destroyed most of the town.
Stacey: Really?!
Frank Kovick: Founders Day fire. They called it the “Miracle Fire” because nobody died.
