And The Next Bachelor is ... Ex-Bachelor Star Brad Womack!
As the star of ABC's The Bachelor in 2007, Brad Womack chose no one. Doing so, he set an unlikely chain of events in motion. First he made a star out of finalist Deanna Pappas.
As The Bachelorette, she axed Jason Mesnick, who went on to star on The Bachelor and reject Jillian Harris, who nixed Jake Pavelka, who courted Ali Fedotowsky. Follow that?
Now, ABC has come full circle. Brad Womack will headline The Bachelor. Again!
Will someone actually get the final rose this time?
The decision reportedly comes in the wake of Bachelorette runner-up Chris Lambton passing up the role, as predicted. But many thought ABC would go with a new guy for once.
Not the case. The network clearly feels that viewer attachment to previous seasons' stars is what's delivering record ratings in recent years ... but does Brad Womack qualify?
Apparently ABC is confident he does. They even offered him the gig before Jake last season. It's a crazy move, and ridiculous if you ask us, but it certainly will generate buzz.
What do you think of Brad Womack as the next Bachelor?

I agree with the statement that viewers are more attracted to the series when they include past cast members.. case in point, the bachelor pad... however, it makes much more sense to use cast members from the most recent season of the bachelorette to keep things fresh. I don't want to see the same guy have yet another chance when many of the men Ashley was presented with this season were so great. I think a lot of viewers would like to see them given the opportunity.

I must agree with those who feel putting him on a second time is a complete turn off. This Series has lost it's entertainment appeal and is more like another lousy soap opera.
They need a new person and an actual show that doesn't come off as staged!

What is wrong with the network, same face twice, you might as well have good old Jake the Snake...ha ha give it up, I will not watch this show ever again if they can't come up with a new face totally... I don't believe that he is ready for a second chance and not on TV, what if he can't find TRUE LOVE THE SECOND TIME AROUND.....what a waste of every ones time....

Good for him for not choosing someone last time, just because the network wanted him to. And good for them for bringing on someone the audience already knows. If he doesn't fall in love this time he should do the exact same thing. It's not a rerun. It's a continuation of an unsuccessful search. Good luck Brad!

THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA@! BRING OR SOMEONE WHO IS REALLY THERE
TO FIND LOVE. A NEW MAN PERHAPS, OR SOMEONE LIKE JESSE OR DAVE YES, YES THAT WOULD BE FUN TO WATCH.

Are there not enough men on the planet? Do we have to have another rerun?

Absolutely not....this guy was totally boring.
Get either David Good, Jesse Kovacs, or Wes Hayden!!!!! Now those guys would really draw the ratings.

I'm not happy about Brad being the bachelor again. I think a new face would have been better if they couldn't get Chris.

Boo! I liked Brad the first time around, but don't want to see him again. At least it's not Chris L, though.
