Blake Lively and Penn Badgley Break Up!
Gossip Girl co-stars Penn Badgley and Blake Lively have broken up, ending their three-year romance, a rep for the twosome confirmed. Simply put ... OMG OMG OMG.
The twosome called it quits in mid-September, on amicable terms. "They’re professionals," an insider says of the pair. "They're still good friends and hang out on set."
The duo, who met as pre-teens in L.A., then began dating as their characters, Dan and Serena, were also dating on Gossip Girl, "kept this to themselves for a while."
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were together almost three years.
They have always taken a drama-free approach to their relationship, and are trying to make sure that includes the end of it. They just go about their business as friends.
Things have remained so normal that even those closest to them were shocked at the news. "Nobody on set had any idea," says the insider. "They're both really private."
We're surprised, but wish them both the best and are glad it wasn't a scandalous, contentious breakup at least. Here's a look back at some Penn and Blake moments:

can everyone who is saying that penn isn't hot, is ugly or is a jerk please stfu?
you don't know these people, their lives have nothing to do with you. also, penn is definitely hot - most likely a lot hotter than any of you. he's hot enough for blake for sure.
anyway, sadness over p/b breaking up! i hope they get back together, they were adorable.

cant believe it! dont believe also that you can say they were dating solely for publicity, you see blake lively in the news so often without penn, and i dont think penn needs that much publicity either. i love them both and think they are beautiful, i hope their on screen relationship doesnt change but i cant see that being an issue since blake is such a great actress

This is truly sad news! Of course mostly for them, since they were such a cute and amazing couple. But also because it probably means the end for Dan and Serena... who were really the main reason I was watching. :(
