Dexter Hires New Showrunner
For the second time in two years, Dexter will have a new showrunner heading into a new season.
Chip Johannessen is out and executive producer Scott Buck is now in, according to Deadline Hollywood. The moves follows Johannessen taking over for Clyde Phillips at the conclusion of season four.
Buck has been a part of the Dexter team since season two. He's co-written the last three finales, including the most recent episode, which was panned by our critic for its plot holes and lack of suspense/originality.

Chip was running the show into the ground with his cheesy BS. This is the best news I've heard in a while.
With Buck at the helm, Dex will be back at the level it was before this season
Rank: Leading Character

It's changes like these that end a show. I hope majority of it stays the same.
