Ricky Gervais is at all times hilarious and did not go too far. For once I was sincerely entertained by an awards show. He also hosted last year so the HFPA and celebs should have known what to expect. They just expect these things to be ass kissing events, which it wasn't, and I loved it!

I recorded it, and am basically watching it now. I think he did go a bit too far, but like everyone has said; he is a comedian. It's basically a comedian's personality and daily routine to make a joke. It's not that big of a deal. If anyone were offended, they would have said something. And being the actors/actresses that they all are, I'm sure that they would have been confident enough to have said something.

He's a comedian! Making fun of people is what he does. It's his job If anyone takes what he says seriously is just an idiot. He is not only performing for the people in the room, he performing for the tv audience. The ability to laugh at oneself is a quality I think is lost in hollywood celebs. I thought he was HIGHlarious.
