NCIS: Los Angeles Promo & Sneak Peek: "Overwatch"

by at . Comments

NCIS: Los Angeles returns tonight after NCIS with its first episode of 2011.

In "Overwatch," team uncovers an experimental Navy tracking system when a body containing a top-secret residue is stolen from an autopsy room. Classified stuff, as usual. Where will it lead Callen, Sam, Kensi and Bieber Deeks? We'll find out ...

Follow the jump for a clip from the episode, in which Callen proposes a challenge to Hetty as a means of getting out of filling out reports. We wouldn't underestimate her ...

It wasn't Bieber. It was Beaver, and it was a reference to the earlier comment that he was talking like Eddie Haskell. I liked this episode more than I usually do. I wouldn't say this show has grown on me much yet; without the occasional appearances of players from NCIS, I probably would not buy the DVD's. I would watch it, though. It has no competition interesting to me in its time slot. The scenery in Venice is pretty. Are there really that many videocameras watching every move there? When did Britain retake the USA? Is our every move viewed? Linda Hunt is always worth watching, and the continuing mystery of what she has and has not done in her lifetime (such as summiting Everest with a broken arm) is a constant delight. Hetty is my favorite character. And what the heck is up with Nate? They sent him away to do something. Is the actor playing on a show I don't watch? I think the young lady who portrayed his girl friend in the episode tonight is exactly the kind of ditherer who would attract Nate. Pretty, funny, indecisive, and with a huge heart. This episode tonight was pretty good, better than usual.

NCIS: Los Angeles Quotes

Kensi: Just you and me. Kensi and Deeks. Deeks and Kensi. Alone we're bold, we're brash, we can move mountains. And, together we're, um,
Deeks: We're safe. Yeah I know.
Kensi: I want to be bold Deeks, but I want to be bold with you.
Deeks: So no more games then?
Kensi: No more games.

Kensi: Because once again you're trying to say something without actually saying it. And it's driving me nuts.
Deeks: I think you lost me.
Kensi: No. I don't think I did. I think you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Deeks: Do I?
Kensi: Damn it, Deeks, you asked me out on a date without actually asking me out on a date. Now, if this keeps going this way and we can't communicate, and we've been over this -- you never say what you mean, and if this is the way it's gonna be, then I don't know how we're ever gonna --
Deeks: I don't want to be here with you right now.
Kensi: What?
Deeks: I want to be at my place, right now ... with you.
