Ed Westwick Ready to Move on From Gossip Girl?

at . Comments

A quote attributed to Ed Westwick hints at some dissatisfaction with Gossip Girl of late, as the actor has reportedly claimed that he is ready to move on.

Ed, who plays Chuck Bass, allegedly told Tatler (via Digital Spy, we can't find the original link) he doesn't think he can get anything more out of Chuck.

"It's all about the work, you know," he said. "The feeling you get when you connect to the work. And that's what I had with Chuck Bass in the beginning."

NOT FEELING IT: Has Ed about had it with playing Chuck?

"I was fascinated by him. But now, to be completely honest, I'm ready to do something else," the UK native adds. "Really ready to do something else."

If that quote is true, do you sympathize with Ed? Has the character run its course, or is Chuck being misused by the writers? Leave a comment below.

i feel this actors are really forgotten that GG made them. And just because you did a couple of movie dose not mean your going to get movies in the future. just look at all the past TV actors that thought they were too good for there shows. that right you don't see them.

The show wouldn't be the same without Chuck.

when such tremendous talent as ed gets no motivation from the idiot writers/producers, it goes to show they f-ed up big time. because ed (his performance, that is) never failed to deliver.

:( this mad me soo sadd!
chuck and blair make the show, and dair is so boring,
but i really want him to become very sucessful in his acting career, he is a very talented. i wish him all the best

i really hope ed doesnt leave because gossip girl wouldnt be gossip girl without chuck it just wouldnt be the same and if people are complaining about how boring gossip girl why are you still watching it then but from my opinion i never think gossip girl is boring because something always happens in every episode and ed pleaseeeeee dont leave !

They all are being misused by the writers. It's just not Ed. Tbc I have to eat

i really wouldn't mind as i aggree with ed, but if he just did a couple of cameos in it? like if he marries blair this season finale, next season could be a lot about blairs job and a few scenes of chuck?

I agree with Ed,
The show is getting boring. I feel that there is (and has to be a party) in every single episode in order to even have a storyline. I'm sick of it. Truthfully, I don't like watching Gossip Girl anymore. I just watch, faithfully, in hopes that it will get better. But it doesn't seem to be. I think that I'll probably leave the show sometime by the end of this new season. There's nothing about the storyline that grabs my attention anymore... That's sad to say.

This annoys me... I have a feeling these actors will regret wishing the end of the show that made them known ... after its over only a couple of them will still be out there making movies ( Leighton, Penn, Blake ). Oh well... see ya Ed. I'm liking Dair anyway!

reading this makes me wanna cry.
i love ed westwick as chuck bass he plays it soo well

Gossip Girl Quotes

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
