waaah accidently clicked submit before being done...
I actually wanted to delete the last sentence and wanted to say that the SL mainly shows that Mer is not over her trauma and is reverting to old habits of not talking about her problems or downplaying them. Thereby keeping people from being able to look after her. Especially Derek, who in my opinion had every right to be angry at her, but also Cristina and Alex. How are they supposed to know how bad it is, if Mer keeps joking about it. I'm also a bit worried how obssessed Mer has become with the idea that she needs a baby and puts it before her own health. She seems to believe that getting pregnant again is necessary to overcome her trauma of the miscarriage.

This episode was ok, but I`m so annoyed I fell into Shonda's sneak peek and promo trap again. I had high epectations of the Merder storyline... when clearly I should have known better. The blindness storyline played out in a totally different light than I expected and I'm a bit disappointed. Mer is losing her eyesight from the medication, but hey... it's really no big deal, let's make fun about it. Cristina doesn't seem to care, because she's busy being glad she doesn't have to deal with this baby crap. Alex makes a bit of an effort to help, although we can argue about whether he just needed a reason to chat up Gyno-Barbie again. Derek doesn't worry about her for most of the day, simply because Meredith hasn't told him. So apparently the SL served the purpose of highlighting the communication problems of Merder's marriage.

@Smriti yea i completely agree with you and i love that about derek too but my point was that her being in her OR without saying anything is not the main reason he should be mad at her, and maybe you are right that he was keeping in mind the miscarriage thing although he has no right to be still upset about it anyway i am sure we won't know anything further and that we will move on with the SL as if nothing happened as usual!!

can it be possible Derek might be referring to the miscarriage here? I mean Mer did omit that big an info and kept it a secret for months even if she did that for Derek's sake but still u know what I mean? Maybe he is remembering that
and I get it he has a right to be mad not only did she not tell him she was even about to drill holes into someone's brains in that condition and I fel he was mad not just coz she almost endangered a patient's life but also coz this foolishnes could have endangered her own credibility And I personally love this thing about them you know specially about Derek just coz she is his wife doesn't mean she woul get special treatment He would set her straight when she is out of line at work and this really reflects Derek's character and also the maturity of their relationship.
So ya I get Derek but like you said something so was not right I mean they were talking about something as big as Mer's eye sight right? Or am I seriously missing some

I can not say i was thrilled with the episode i felt shipped about the whole merder SL that was not what we expected, and it is not about the sl it self it is about how it was displayed, i really dunno what was it but something was not right. Like for example the meredith humor about the whole thing why was she so freak-in happy? and it was so out of charcter of her t leave derek out of it for so long i thought the secretive meredith was in the past? and as for derek i understand his frustration and that fact that he is angry but really "how did u want in my OR and did not say anything??" WTH?! is that what most matter now? i know that was reckless of her but really?? I think the most important thing was that she really can not see!! and not that she was in your OR and did not tell you, so if she was not in the OR would it be all ok?
And one more thing i loved the roof scene they all looked so hot!! and it did not bother me maybe he went there after he made sure she was ok and appare

And mind you here am not cribbing abt ST or blah I don't care abt the length of scenes as long as it has depth I am just HUGELY disappointed by the damn casual way something as serious as Ner's eye sight was dealt with while something as pathetically ridiculous as Callie's caffeine needs was dealt with the utmost of time effort and dedication.
I mean if the parallels have gone down to this eye sight v coffee and Sr and CO actually choose coffee then I seirously don't know what else is left to be said.
All I know is they are letting beautiful story lines like Mer's miscarriage and now this just slip out of their hands. they could have done so much, shown so much of intensity, but nope they won't, what a waste of story line what a waste of unbelievable talent like EP PD

I am more disappointed in myself that I let that MD promo coax me into believing that this Mer going blind thing wld be a real major and intense SL I mean go watch that promo again it felt soooo freaking heart breaking Did we see any of those emotions? Yes in one scene for seconds we did saw sadness on MD and thats thanx to EP PD's brilliant acting But thats about it thats all we get? After weeks of hype that was created over Mer going blind thats ALL we get
And as for MerDer talking it out I don't think thats going to happen The whole talking bit is reserved for the Bermuda Triangle i am sick of CAM I seriously AM More than CAM am sick of it being the ONLY sl every epi. Every other sl specially if it involves MD is shadowed by it

I liked this episode a lot. I'm so happy that Arizona expressed her feelings to Callie regarding the whole situation. That was real. I also liked the merder story line. The Owen and Cristina baby thing was a lot like Arizona and callies issue in S6. I'm really curious to find out whats wrong with the chiefs wife. It's sad but interesting. Overall I liked this ep, and it definitely set up the rest of the season.

Is there any MerDer fan who felt robbed and cheated? Am i misisng something? How is everyone just OK with the fact that this epi was sold out to be as something like Mer having MAjOR issues and she facing a damn tough choice to pick her career or having a child and blah blah and even the very first promo by ABC only had MD and had such an emotional VO as to how surgery is her life's passion and all that might just disappear and what not. But did we see any of it in the ACTUAL epi? just one scene where the OB mumbled so fast abt Mer's problem that I couldn't even catch what she was saying. Seriously, after all the build up thats all we get?
I don't know someone help me clear my perception here. what does this all mean, has Mer chosen to stop taking the drugs? If she has how come she was COMPLETELY fine and happy and chirpy and bright and shiny in the end with Cristina? What does this all mean? If this means she can't get pregnant she should have been devastated right? I don't know ma

Not a fan of Jackson and Lexie at all. Yes he's hot, yes she's hot, but together...just does not work for me. Mark will probably end up getting pushed aside because he's wanted a kid so bad and each time he gets denied, pushed away, so why change that now? Mark should only get what he wants in the best circumstances with someone he loves. Not this way. He is going to get hurt again. He's kinda like the male version of Addison, nothing ever goes right for them. I'd really like to see AZ connect with Mark if this baby thing doesn't work out, which it wont. She kinda seems oblivious to the fact Mark might have feelings too and when this baby thing doesn't work out, she might see how much it's hurt him. I would love a Marizona friendship!

FINALLY some truth from Arizona, we didnt get too see much about how she felt since Callie said are you in or out, so i was so glad to see her voice her opinion. She is so right though with the whole 'bi dream' thing. I dont hate Mark, i just hate this storyline, you can almost see where its gonna go, Callie gets tha amnio, something is wrong, Addison comes to help, lots of tension between Mark and Arizona, as horrible as it may seem, the baby will not make it and at first Callie will push Arizona away saying its not like Arizona wanted it anyway. Anger, frustration, arguments and then the realisation. Lexie will be there for Mark and Arizona for Callie and by season's end, they will all be in some sort of happiness!

I just want to say that most of the people who are cheering on Az are actually being hypocrites b/c last week a lot of them bashing Mark for voicing his opinion. I just want to say that Mark is truly the father of this child and I personally feel that althought they are going to try this tri-parenting thing, Mark and Callie are the actually biological parents of this child and I feel that they have the most say in what happens in the pregnancy and life of this child. I felt that Az was not just voicing her opinion, it felt like she was throwing a temper tantrum because she was mad that Callie accepts and highly regards Marks opinion on his child.

Overall I think it was a good a episode. I like the fact that mark is stepping up and making sure his opinion is being heard. And I like that he didn't get mad that Callie didn't agree with him. I like arizona and I do feel sorry for her, I mean the situation does suck for her, but what did she expect. It's mark's baby and he's gonna be involved. What does she expect Callie do to about that? I don't think I like jackson with lexie, I just want lexie to be with mark already. Oh, and April with stark ... Beyond creepy!!!!

Yay to Arizona!!! Finally she tells Callie what is real for HER!!! The whole episode was not perfect - the direction seemed really slow and awkward,...but this revelation, and the perfection in Jessica Capshaw's delivery of Arizona's feelings to Callie made this episode for me. I love Callie and Arizona together...and I want them together...buy it will be interesting to see what Callie does in response to this. Unless something does happen to the baby, I don't even know how she is going to make Arizona happy. And can I just say - I cannot stand Mark. His voice and demands really are just grating.
