Leighton Meester on Dan and Blair: Love It!
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is digging the show's new Dan-Blair dynamic these days. She's certainly not alone in that regard, as hardcore Dair 'shippers abound.
"I love it," Leighton told PopWrap in an interview. "[Dan] brings out a different side of Blair. One that we haven’t seen before since he doesn’t care what she thinks."
"There are a lot of surprises there - some good, some not so good."
No word on what the major Dair cliffhanger coming up consists of, but when she says some surprises are good and some are not, it certainly makes you think.
Make of that what you will, but also take note of this other quote from Leighton, should you question where her loyalties lie: "I like Chuck and Blair together."

I love Dair interaction but only as friends. However, I'm not interested in seeing Blair with Chuck, because he treats her like crap. If they fix them, maybe, but major effort on Chuck's part is required.

The Dair storylune is GG S4's saving grace. It got people interested, talking (even arguing) about it. It's certainly got me excited to see more. Dan and Blair shares the wittiest, most entertaining banter of any two characters in GG, and if DAIR means the writers coming up with all these fabulous quotes and comedy, I am all for DAIR pro-longing their "relationship". And I would love to see more heartfelt moments shared between these two too, because I know Penn and Leighton can be awesome. Watch out Chuck!
Let's hope our beloved Queen B is also going to show a sweeter side, in strong BW fashion, of course.

It's so weird that I used to hate the idea of Blair and Dan together - since Season 1 they have despised each other - but for some reason the writers managed to make the whole thing fun and interesting enough to dair! :)
Blair really is funny when she's around Dan. I still hope that Chuck and Blair end up together when the show closes! (Note to writers: Please not just in the very last episode!!!!)

@whatthe...the comments are because Chuck never does anything but hurt Blair and fall for other women in the relationship. That powerful woman thing was just an excuse to break them up and make it not Chucks fault rather than actually dealing with the hotel thing, the Jenny thing, the war thing...etc.
Its tiring. I'm enjoying the Dan and Blair scenes though!
