A pair of talented, gorgeous leading ladies are heading back to the small screen this fall.

First, Connie Britton will star in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX drama, American Horror Story.

Details on the highly anticipated series are being kept under wraps, but the former Friday Night Lights star will portray Vivien Harmon, one half of the show’s central couple. She is described as both forceful and vulnerable.

Heather Locklear has also signed on to an upcoming pilot, CBS' The Assistants.

The 49-year-old actress will take on the main role of Ali, an insecure actress prone to wild mood swings. The series centers around her quartet of assistants, one of whom will be played by Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie.
