Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: "It's a Long Way Back"
It's a long way back for Callie on Grey's Anatomy. These sneak preview clips from the April 28 episode (the show is off tonight) make that fact abundantly clear.
Everyone pulls together to help Callie and baby Sofia on their journeys to recovery in hopes of allowing mother and baby to finally meet, but it's not that simple.
Elsewhere, the prompt death of a clinical trial patient has Derek proceeding with more caution while Meredith has concerns about Adele, and makes a risky move.
Alex treats a cranky old lady with cancer and gets an idea that he feels will win him the Chief Resident spot. The four clips below tease each of these story lines:

I guess Mr Bedford will be the Altzhiemers trial patient who dies. I think Mer is going to try to make sure that Adele will get the good stuff when she's accepted for the trial. I think Mer goes and checks out the list from the pharmacy as to what number patient will get the good stuff, and makes sure it will be Adele.

@Sofia Doremus Tumblr! I don't know where that person got it (and it's out now so, this is late obviously).
But I keep seeing it so I wanted to clarify, Derek's last talk with Mer didn't say they'd have their own baby, he said he's make sure they'd be parents at the very end. Clever wording on the writer's behalf.

Jessica and Sara are both such AMAZING actresses! I enjoy watching them so very much!! I honestly looove MerDer but I don't see what all the fuss is about.. Grey's has never been a "one couple show"! Izzy and Alex, for example, had a great storyline and got ALL the focus on more than one occasion!
I think it's much smarter to keep the show alive using various storylines (that involve various characters!!). It would be pointless and unrealistic (and probably a little boring) if they focus on one main couple all the time!
In addition, please remember- the show is, in a way, contributing (a lot!) to an important cause! That's gotta be worth something..!!

Meredith and Derek are adopting. There was a leaked promo that aired once where Derek says they should adopt. Besides, the pics for 7.21 are already out and they are holding a baby at the hospital.
Shonda is too lazy to explore other choices rather than just adoption. I'm good but doubt it will be done with justice.

@GUH everything you have on your list is about one storyline! Anyway, I'm not here to fight with anyone... I respect that you love MerDer and i wish you to take the airtime you need to be happy! and don't forget that the fact that c-a-m have all this airtime doesn't mean that calzona fans are happy with that... I'm not actually! Cause as you said this storyline sucks... I didn't like the way Arizona left to Africa,I didn't like that Callie slept with Mark, I didn't like that she got pregnant and she has to share her kids upbringing with mark... I want you to answer honestly... how would you find it,if Meredith got laid with Alex after a fight with Derek and she got pregnant from him... would you like it? would it be a good storyline for MerDer fans? I doubt... so stop blaming anyone,like we take what we want... i'd prefer less airtime and a good storyline!

The sneaks are very good, love them. The ones with Callie make me wanna cry. The recovery and not being able to behave as a mother is realy frustrating. SaRa captured it perfectly, she is such a tremendeous actress! I feel sorry for Adele, and I'm excited to see Alex with Doris Roberts, loved her in Raymond.

I don't think Meredith and Derek would adopt.
Derek said to Meredith they'd try as much as possible to make a baby of their own.
So if they could not conceive naturally, I'm pretty sure they'd try IVF treatments or try surrogacy.
And if none of that worked, then I'm sure they'd adopt a child.
