Exclusive: Jessica Szohr on Bidding Farewell to Gossip Girl ... For Now
TV Fanatic was fortunate enough to speak exclusively with Jessica Szohr yesterday. The actress talked about the Gossip Girl season finale, her final episode as a series regular.
What began as a six-episode arc on the show turned into a great four-year run for Szohr, but she admits the time was right for her - and the character - to move on.
At least for now. It's Gossip Girl, after all. The door is always open!
The Wisconsin native also talked to TVF about a few films she has in the works, her fashion campaign with Dove, how she got into acting and her love of the Green Bay Packers.
She rocks. Watch our interview with Jessica here:

"Um... yea..." "Um... yea.. " "umm... um.... um" "Stuff like that.... you know.. um... yea... UMMMM!"
Seriously?
It boggles my mind how someone can be so eloquent with a script, yet in a free-range interview, they should like their in junior high.
Looking at Penn's interviews, the dude can speak very well. He can form a sentence that is coherent and mature; It's not the "ums" I have a pet peeve about, because even the most loquacious of us have been known to do it. However, what grinds my gears is that "... well yea... YEA... and stuff."
Seriously?
Don't speak.

Haha, no, I didn't do the interview. And I actually think Jessica Szhor seems very nice, is gorgeous and a great actress. It's her character I hate.
And It was Steve Marsi who did the interview as indicated in the byline. Or Mister Meester if you will...

I think Jessica is gorgeous, I agree that the writers really have ruined a lot of characters. Everyone of them has changed even Chuck, and not in a good way at all. Loyalty to the show has kept it afloat but GG has lost a lot of its orginal fanbase.
Vanessa, never really liked. When Szohr is NOT being Vanessa though? I find her plenty likable.
@ yawn: Wow, have you heard yourself? you sound catty.

I seriously don't think that she is pretty! And fashion is big part of her life? then that's probably BAD fashion! And I don't like her voice! It sounds like an annoying duck, idk, something like that! I tried to like her! just CAN'T! I watched a lot of his other works outside of Gossip Girl! She killed every single chance to be sexy on screen!

You know I actually think that Jessica Szohr is great and she was sweet and fun in the interview, very friendly. She has the prettiest blue eyes.
God, WHO is that depressed interviewer? Can you be a LITTLe more unethusiasitc? I didn't think I heard you murmuring bored and feebly the first few times.
I also think that the writers have been responsible for really ruining a LOT of characters. I mean, lets face it, they all started out with great promise but look at Nate, Jenny, Dan, Serena, Vanessa now. They've all become so boring! It was really the writers inability to do anything after the first season that led to this. Jenny used to be a favorite but who could even look at her after the s3 finale? Blake Lively wants to be killed off the show. Vanessa was never worked with well.
The writers would have also completely ruined Chuck and Blair if they hadn't feared the wrath a very beloved and equally fierce fanbase.
As it is they nearly almost did ruin and alter Chuck beyond redemptio

What @rena, @JennfromCalgary, @Gossip Guy were trying to say was that "We're glad the Vanessa character on the fictitious show called Gossip Girl is gone for some semblance."
Fans of the show do not endorse the actual killing of real people. We are TV fantic, but we are not insane fans (i.e. subject to mental evaluation).
