Scandal, Shonda Rhimes' New Series, to Debut Midseason
Scandal, a new series from Shonda Rhimes, is coming to ABC midseason (early 2012). It revolves around the life and work of a crisis manager and her staff.
Kerry Washington stars as Olivia Pope, a former PR consultant to the President who can't seem to cut ties with her past - professionally and personally.
Pope's dysfunctional team - who specialize in fixing people's lives, but can't quite rectify their own - include Lost's Henry Ian Cusick as Stephen Finch, Columbus Short as Harrison Wright, Guillermo Diaz as Huck, Darby Stanchfield as Abby and Katie Lowes as Quinn.
Ghost's Tony Goldwyn takes on the role of President Fitzgerald Grant.

I have never and will never watch Gray's or Practice. But I will watch this if I can remember to tune in. I love Kerry Washington.She's fantasic and I'm hoping I will enjoy her lastest work, too.

it's got a cheesy feel to it, i don't know why.
the only show by Shonda that i truly enjoy is GA, Off the map was terrible IMHO. private practice is ok but not as good as GA, i am skeptical about this one, but i am going to give it a try, thx god that she is trying to step out of the box of her medical drama.

I don't agree with yiu Aries93. GA and PPP aren;t declining in viewrs, more and more people are choosing these TV shows everyday, especially Private Practice. I think that some people get annoyed when things don't turn out the way they'd like to. However, they shouldn't argue the creator. That would sadly resemble Annie Wilkes's (Misery crazy fan) attitude.

I agree with Aries 93.Shonda is talented but not the super power she imagines herself to be.Surely the diehard fans not to mention the cast of GA and PP deserve more respect to make them the best shows she can. Doesn't Shonda have staying power? Will these newer shows go the same way as GA and PP. I won't be watching if they go to air in Australia.Maybe the TV statons won't pick them up.

I LOVE Kerry Washington! I don't know about the plot, but I will watch to support her. I wish her continued and even greater success in her career. She deserves it.

I can't wait for this show. It sounds like a winner to me with a fresh new idea! People, please give it a chance. You will love Henry Ian Cusick as much as I do.

I admire Shonda Rhimes' creativity but I'm not sure if I'll get into this. I love Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy although I'm not sure how this will really be. I'll watch the Pilot just because I believe in Shonda though.

Sorry Shonda, I love you, but for me, this is a no go. I love Grey's Anatomy and I love Private Practice. However, I've hated Off The Map and I don't think I'll like this. I'll give it ago just for you, however, I feel it won't last.
I know you got ideas, but did you think of possibly holding off till Grey's Anatomy and/or Private Practice are off the air so you can put much more time into your new shows?
Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are declining in viewers as I type this. Perhaps be there so assist more often?
