The CW Pick-Ups, Renewals: Secret Circle, One Tree Hill and More!
The CW will release its official fall schedule on Thursday, but the network made a few major announcements today regarding renewals and pick-ups. To wit:
One Tree Hill, for example, will return for a ninth and final season in January. New episodes will introduce us to Brooke and Julian as parents; Brooke and Haley reopening Karen's Cafe; and the return of Dan Scott.
Nikita has been renewed for 22 episodes.
Hellcats has been canceled.
Secret Circle has been picked up. It stars Britt Robertson as a young girl who loses her mother and learns that she is a witch. Based on LJ Smith novel.
Ringer will bring Sarah Michelle Gellar back to TV, as she plays a troubled recovering alcoholic on the run from some dangerous individuals. Also stars Nestor Carbonell, Kristoffer Polaha, Tara Summers, Mike Colter and Ioan Gruffudd.
Hart of Dixie teams Rachel Bilson up with Josh Schwartz again. She portrays a New York City doctor who inherits a small medical practice in the South.

I will be checking out secret circle and the ringer. as well as continuing to watch gossip girl and the vampire diaries :). also, no surprise that hellcats got canceled, i could only stand to watch the first 3 episodes, and even that was torture.

The trailer for Hart of Dixie leaves me with the impression that it is not merely the South that this person is moving to, but also the 1800s.

@Maheshfunky The Vampire Diaries books are average too, at least in my opinion, but look how awesome the show is! So I think Secret Circle will be at least as awesome, in spite of the books.
I'm interested in Secret Circle and Ringer, both sound interesting.

yes!! for Nikita season 2 is commng our way kind of bum that Hellcats got cancelled cuz it looked like it was going to be good.

Yay for Nikita at Maggie Q! And see! this is why i never bothered to watch Hellcats because this would happen lol. Ringer sounds ok nothing too interesting, I shall still watch it as i have to since its SMG. And Hart of Dixie sounds ok nothing interesting either, Secret Circle sounds ok but I thought the books were quite average too lol so all in all average shows that CW has picked up. But VD abd Nikita have become the heat of CW.
