pratik, POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK!!! DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU DON'T WANT FUTURE INFORMATION ON JON SNOW'S MOTHER!!!! Jon's mother won't appear, and her identity won't be 100% determined for the first 4 books. The question of Jon's mother's identity is not an important plot question, so much as an important character question for Jon. That said, there is a ruling theory of who his mother was, which has seemingly tons of evidence in the text to support, but we have not gotten total confirmation yet, and most readers seem to miss all the hints until they're pointed out to them. I frankly buy the theory, it seems to answer everything and feeds nicely into the overarching history and future of the series. If you keep reading you might be able to piece it together yourself. END OF SPOILERS!!!


So far in the book i have read two stories about Jon's mother a)Rumors that after killing Ser Arthur Dayne, Ned carried the sword back to his sister Ashara Dayne who he slept with. The book precisely mentioned these to be rumors and is probably untrue because of the second confirmed fact. b)Robert was jesting about the only girl Ned slept with in the war. Her name to which Ned confirmed was Wylla. Anyways what i do want to ask the readers is
a) Will Jon's mother play an impt role in the future? Will she be a character we are already aware of
