Patrick Dempsey Tries to Clarify Grey's Anatomy Contract Status, Remarks

by at . Comments

Patrick Dempsey was a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman last night and clarified the remarks he made to Italian Vanity Fair a couple weeks ago about leaving Grey's Anatomy after this season.

Kind of. Sort of. Okay, the actor didn't really say anything new: his contract is up, it might get extended, it might not.

But Dempsey was his typically charming self, joking with the host and introducing a clip of him in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. If he does exit Grey's, let's hope this isn't the sort of junk he'll be making in the future...

PD is trying to get away from doing romcom films and widen his acting portfolio by doing films like Transformers etc. I just get the feeling that being tied to making a tv programme for nine months a year is not what he wants!

Don't worry about his contract renewal get some sleep! mmm well that make's us breathe one small gasp of relief, then go back to worrying haha.
Still think new contract talks will happen when they get back to set so not worried about that, it's just will they accept? Let's hope they still want steady employment.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Just because we can live without something, it doesn't mean we have to.

Meredith

Derek: I am calling post-it, Zola, Bailey, the tumors on the wall, ferryboat scrub caps. I thought D.C. was everything. I was wrong. You... you're everything. I love you and I'm not going to stop loving you. I can't live without you. I don't want to live without you, and I'm going to do everything in my power to prove it.
Meredith: I can live without you, but I don't want to. I don't ever want to.
