Those behind Dexter have made no secret about their goals for season six: Jump ahead a year, start fresh and get the title character back to his guilt-free, murderous mission.

Along the way, Dexter will encounter a few spiritual questions, as he wonder what sort of lessons a serial killer can, or should, teach his son.

Michael C. Hall and other key cast members - including season-long guest stars Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos - expound on these points and give us a look at what's ahead in the following video. It features interviews and footage from new episodes, which get underway on October 2.
