Hart of Dixie

Hart of Dixie has found a new ally for its main character.

As previously reported, Nancy Travis will play an assistant at Dr. Zoe Hart's new medical practice in Alabama on the series premiere, but the actress will then exit the show to star alongside Tim Allen in a new comedy. Enter Eisa Davis.

The former Law & Order star has signed on to portray Addy Pickett, a veteran nurse who will serve as a mentor to Rachel Bilson's Zoe.

Davis starred as ADA Danvers for nearly a decade on that NBC drama and is also a Pultizer Prize winning playwright.
