Grey's Anatomy Teaser Pic: Father-Daughter Love

He may be on the outs with Meredith, but this shot of Derek and Zola from the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy should give McDreamy fans plenty to smile about.

MerDer's adoption of the adorable little girl was somewhat overshadowed by the blowup over the clinical trial. Hopefully, Zola will help reunite the show's core couple.

Yes, Meredith does look uncomfortable with Zola, but I think that's going to be the SL with Mer and Zola. Meredith is going to struggle but learn to be a good mom, she won't want Zola to have her childhood. Meredith hasn't had a family life, Thatcher left when she was five and Ellis wasn't a good mother. Ellis was a great surgeon and neglected Meredith. I don't think Meredith has had any cousins to play with either. Derek had caring parents and four sisters who had a happy childhood until his dad was shot. Derek is also an uncle to nine nieces and five nephews, no doubt he'd have held them when they were babies. Derek has had a family life Meredith has never experienced

I think it's gonna be hard to pull off anything with pain and joy in a 'surprising way' Shonda!. Perhaps Der will realise Mer's terrible childhood has made her into the adult she is and that she really doesn't know about family life with a proper mom and dad

Derek look so cute with Zola. He is going to be an amazing daddy. But when I see this kind of picture I cant help but compare how Meredith interacts with Zola. He looks so confortable with her while most of the scene we had seen with Meredith and Zola, Meredith looks uncomfortable and like she prefers to be somewhere else instead of be with Zola. I dont know maybe Im wrong. Anyway cant wait to see the daddy side of Derek. He is going to be a good dad.

Pain = Derek walking out
Joy = Derek coming home that is a very cute picture, more please. Oh and hopefully the coming home part is at end of the 2 hour premiere. To me this photo looks like it's in the corridor's of SGMW so where is Mer she must be somewhere close maybe in the photo Derek has just been told about the adoption or he finally has listened to Mer.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Lexie: [narrating] Grief may be a thing we all have in common, but it looks different on everyone.
Mark: It isn't just death we have to grieve. It's life. It's loss. It's change.
Alex: And when we wonder why it has to suck so much sometimes, has to hurt so bad. The thing we gotta try to remember is that it can turn on a dime.
Izzie: That's how you stay alive. When it hurts so much you can't breathe, that's how you survive.
Derek: By remembering that one day, somehow, impossibly, you won't feel this way. It won't hurt this much.
Bailey: Grief comes in its own time for everyone, in its own way.
Owen: So the best we can do, the best anyone can do, is try for honesty.
Meredith: The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grief is that you can't control it.
Arizona: The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes.
Callie: And let it go when we can.
Meredith: The very worst part is that the minute you think you're past it, it starts all over again.
Cristina: And always, every time, it takes your breath away.
Meredith: There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us, but there are always five.
Alex: Denial.
Derek: Anger.
Bailey: Bargaining.
Lexie: Depression.
Richard: Acceptance.
