Josh Schwartz to Adapt Misfits for American Television
Chuck may be nearing the end, but Josh Schwartz is prepared to jump back into the world of crime-fighting. With a twist.
Sources confirm that the man behind Chuck, The OC, Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie has signed on to adapt Misfits - a British hit that has earned multiple BAFTA awards and which premieres its third season later this month - for American television.
The show centers on young community service workers who receive supernatural powers following an electrical storm. Think Heroes meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Alphas meets (based on the following UK promo) Skins. Schwartz has not reached a deal with any network yet, but would The CW really pass on this potential hit?

This might just be one of the worst ideas ever. Misfits is a GREAT tv show, there is absolutely no need to do a remake. And just like some of the other commentators said, an American version would probably be so edited that it wouldn't even be Misfits. Please stop remake other countries successful tv series and movies, it is disrespectful to the original writers and actors.

If Josh wants to do this right he better pedal it to a cable network as CW wouldn't allow many of things that is shown on Misfits be show. Also the dialouge is so raunchy and in some people would be offended. I mean they curse hell of alot in the UK show and pretty sure there lots of nudity. You know why skins sucked on mtv because it was edited down as a skins type show only works for american cable like hbo. so josh if you really want to do this right give your show to showtime or hbo.

THIS IS THE WORST IDEA EVER!
I mean Misfits is a great tv show. And I love Josh Schwartz.
But not another remake please! Even if I love the US version of Shameless, Misfits is a real british show.

Why cant they just air the british version? Season 3 starts soon and I havent figured out how to watch it yet
