Dexter Episode Promo: Getting Personal...

Let's face it: there is a severe lack of urgency on Dexter so far this season. But will that finally change this Sunday?

Showtime teases the next new episode "Just Let Go," as turning "personal" for Dexter, which makes sense following the shooting of Brother Sam. Meanwhile, Deb won't be doing much better, as her new lieutenant duties leave her overwhelmed, while Quinn's libido gets the squad's case in trouble.

Watch the official trailer for the installment - which will also feature an intriguing return - now:

Then don't watch it and let the rest of us enjoy it.

This shows has been in decline since the end of season 2. Season 4 was a bright spot, but it's getting hard to defend this show to others or to keep watching it myself.

The dialog is awful. Who is writing this stuff?

There is no suspense. I don't particularly care what happens to anyone this season. Deb, Quinn, Batista, LaGuerta, Capt Matthews, Masuka. They could all die this season and it wouldn't make a lick of difference to me. Whereas I once felt some connection to some of these characters, I no longer do.

I hope showtime does the right thing and ends this show after this season. It's becoming boring, predictable and tedious.

On the predictability, Collin Hanks character is going to die. We all know it, so how does one get worked up and excited about Dexter's adversary? Bring in new character, kill charater, rinse, wash and repeat.

Also it looks like the show is going to try a twist ending. I'm betting the character played by James Edward Olmos isn't even alive
