Seriously, NBC?!?

NBC is the lowest rated network on television by a wide margin, and this is its solution: bench Community. Keep Whitney on the air.

In a move that executives swear does not mean the funniest show on television has been canceled, Community will take a seat on January 12 in favor of the returning 30 Rock. Meanwhile, Whitney will switch places with Up All Night.

Elsewhere, Prime Suspect fans should start saying goodbye now. The show is nowhere to be found on the following 2012 schedule...

30 Rock Headlock

8 p.m. The Voice
10 pm Smash (New show, premiere February 6)

8 p.m. The Biggest Loser
10 p.m. Parenthood (until February 28)

If NBC cancels Community it should get picked up by ABC like the way Scrubs was. Imagine Community back to back with Cougar Town.

I've been stationed overseas for 3 years now, and the only reason I can't watch Community on air is because.. well.. European tv. But I'll be damned if I cant watch Community the very next day as soon as possible, best written show out there currently!

Please, please don't cancel Community. It is the best comedy show out there. Please,NBC!!!

Eff you NBC. They really do not have a clue, do they.

Save Community! It is the best show on television. Never before have I seen writing so original. The show is absolutely brilliant. I'm going to be devastated if it gets canceled.

I don't watch a lot of sitcoms because I don't usually think they're funny, but Community is one of the few exceptions I know, and it is also artistically very good, with lots of references and special episodes. I hate that the shows I like get cancelled just because they're a little more intelligent than the average.

This is my absolute favourite show right now, and the only thing I watch on NBC. This is one of the smartest shows on television right now, I hope it continues to be supported and renewed!

I guess more people really do watch Whitney than Community. I just want to know WHY.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! NBC is run by a battalian of morons. They pit Community up against American Idol, then Big Bang Theory, then pair it up with terrible sitcoms such as Outsourced and Perfect Couples, and then they wonder why they are hemorrhaging viewers? They should have put it on before the Office when it first started or put it on Wednesday during the half hour before South Park comes on to catch those viewers before they change the channel. Oh wait, they were too busy f-ing up the Tonight Show disasterbacle with Conan and Leno to notice how the hell to develop shows. Michael Scott's gone, Seinfeld's not coming back, and Friends is dead. NBC has successfully lost their strongest night of programming.

I realize im going to catch some flak from this but I feel like it needs to be said.
And to preface this let me say that I was a fan of the show from day one, although admittedly, now im not as big a fan as I used to be. I used to think that it was awesome, innovative, and pure comedic genius, but now I think the show has become just a pretty average/slightly above average sitcom, with maybe a handful of episodes exceptions here and there, but regardless imo the general trend in quality after season 1 has been markedly downward.
Can you really blame NBC? Community has pretty much been losing viewers from day one. It would be one thing if after squaring off against TBBT the numbers [predictably] dropped but remained fairly constant after that, but that didn’t happen. Less and less people have been watching the show. EVEN Whitney which is pretty much the definition and epitome of a hack-like sitcom, is pulling more viewers than Community. So as a network why would you keep a show that has been hemorrhaging viewers? So you cant really blame NBC, blame the millions of people not watching.
