The episode wasn't bad, but its probably my least favorite season finale so far..
the episode was too slow, maybe it would have been better if sutter was only given 90 minutes instead of 2 hours. Also, it all felt too convenient. juice is out unscathed, bobby is free of charges, clay lives, and jax stays. And the problem of the cartel isnt even resolved..
to me the episode didnt get good until "House of the Rising Son" came on. Seeing Jax finally ascent to the throne was pretty cool, but it seemed weird that the other members didnt even question what was going on.

I have to agree with Jennene I loved the coldness that Jax gave gemma from not returning her hug to the icy stare at the end. Gemma may have "won" by keeping jax there and having him at the head of the table, but he is done with her shit, so to speak. I mean she is his mother and all but she is no longer holding that kind of controlling weight over him anymore. He has chosen his matriarch (sp)and it is not Gemma. Tara said to margret earlier this season that she had to get her whole family out clean and then she old gemma that jax was hers. The girl meant it. For Tara is about keeping Jax and her sons, while for gemma it was about keeping her families power, Her power . . . I loved the way it ended with the picture, it was like they were John and gemma when it all started. The question now is will Jax and Tara go the way of gemma and clay when all this shit goes bad or will they go at it the way John Teller wanted to? Will they fix it or will they keep it going as it is? How dark will

Opie will be back. He's not one to leave things of this magnitude unresolved. Jax owes him a lot of answers and this thing with Clay is far from over.
I thought the fade to John/Jemma was a little predictable but cool none the less. I hope next season has more riding scenes.

The CIA is subsidizing Galindo.I don't think the cartel are actually law enforcement.

Quick question. I'm not sure how the CIA works, but how was Romeo allowed to kill people and not lose his job?

I'm conflicted over the episode. I really didn't like that Galindo being in bed with the CIA was the reason why Jax chose to stay with Sam Crow. There were so many forces that threatened to tear the club apart both inside and out that it certainly felt like a cheat having this come up. The combination of that mixed with some of the close ups and cutting away to the picture of John and Gemma in yesteryear really detracted and weakened the most appealing aspects of the show. I love that Clay survived, that Jax assumed the presidency, and that Tara chose to remain in Charming beside him. I thought all of that was crucial since that's what the entire series has been building up too. Sons of Anarchy has been a show that has felt incredibly complex and for it to resort to less fulfilling tactics in order to carry out the story lines was incredibly disappointing.

Ope will get even, he will get his retribution in his own way when the time is right...Glad to see Juicey Boy get back on track with the MC and himself...I loved the coldness Jax gave Gemma too...How long until it comes out that she was in on JT's death, let's not forget Tara knows that part...Beginning season starts with LeRoy's girl getting killed too don't forget and how they are going to deal with the Irish...I think not only did this clarify things but it also added suspense for what is to come...I hate that this is not a continuous show, the waiting till the next season drives me crazy... In a good way tho:)

This was just short of brilliant writing and acting and shooting... Left me with goose bumps thru the show...Leaves me clear on a number of topics...Def did not see this coming, I have laid awake at night and been pre occupied by this for two weeks... Just awesome, the only question left is...Does Ope join his brothers? I agree with the blogger above that he probably would not sit at that table as long as Clay is there in any capacity...Jax is left in a terrible position here and tho Tara has reasons to leave, it does not surprise me at all that she chooses to stay at Jax side now that Clay has been relieved of his duty as president.Jax needs Ope by him at some point we will see Ope again... I also, love what Potter does to "Charming Heights"...Hilarious when he walks in with the pervert doll! This is a good side note for the show, I could see Gemma and the Sheriff's wife working together on the garden project...One hell of a show Kirt Sutter, one hell of a show!!!

I agree with post 1 the season should have ended without the 2 extra episodes. Everything felt so predictable, everyone already knew jax wasn't leaving so not a surprise, cartel guys were CIA, that had been speculated on for months. I didn't want bullets or violence just something to keep soa on my mind during the break and make me wanna tune in, this wasn't it. The only positive was all those commercials make me wanna see Justified.

I agree with entire review except for the fact that was good. This is the strongest show in television and it concluded with a weak fizzle. Yes everything is all tied up but at what cost. Making Potters entire storyline obsolete. No real retribution for Opie. This show is better then that on every level but I think it was the CIA undercovers that really killed it. There just had to be a better way to go then that.

Only good thing they did was the clay scene. They handled that perfectly. Otherwise the cheese factor was so high!!! I jokingly said to my gf that the ghost of John teller was going to float in to church, and boom they cut to the picture. They didn't "wrap anything up" it all just fizzled out. I expected better.

I think Your Crazy, That was epic in it's own way as the show often is. Most Finale's leave you begging for more without revealing information, this concluded almost ALL of the storylines. It proved it doesn't take a single bullet to make a good episode

I feel like this episode will be one people either love or hate. Personally I appreciated that the show didn't take the soap opera route and ended the season in this way. I LOVED the last few minutes when they were in the Church. I don't know if I'm using the correct words but it felt a bit poetic......... And yes Juice is off the hook!!!!!!!!
