Dermont Mulroney is a lucky man.

The movie star has landed an expanded role on New Girl, TV Line reports. He'll appear on multiple episodes this spring as a love interest for Zooey Deschanel's Jess, coming on board as a wealthy father of one of the character's students.

Look for Mulroney to debut in March or April, and for him to have handsome abs shoes to fill. His gig will start soon after True Blood's Ryan Kwanten stops by an episode of the hit Fox sitcom.
