Grey's Anatomy Promo: Once in a Lifetime ...

at . Comments

After a lengthy hiatus, Grey’s Anatomy returned last night with an episode that delivered tragedy, death and a surprise visit for some of Seattle Grace's finest. Follow the link for our review of "Suddenly" if you missed it!

Our Round Table discussion of the episode will follow soon. Looking ahead to next week, the doctors split into teams for a risky surgery involving conjoined twins, a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment for these professionals.

Meanwhile, Bailey recruits Meredith to be a buffer between her and Ben when he pressures her to take the relationship to a more serious level. He wants her to move in with him (?!) but she obviously has cold feet.

Teddy, who is destined to head down a dark road by the time this storyline is over, questions Cristina about what exactly happened to Henry during his surgery, and Richard teaches Karev a tough lesson in the OR.

Ok I'll point something nice out from the promo, now if your eyes are really quick try pausing it at 0.06 and in the window reflection you can see mer holding Zola who is dressed in something pink, maybe watching dad (derek) work are they :)

As you may have guessed I am preparing for the worst possible outcome for these babies, prove me wrong please. I too love tears of pure joy too.

Wonder what Mark did for Lexie to call him a monster?? It looks very interesting, the doctors have been practicing on dummies, for months, even the mother of the twins tells Owen you talked us into doing this. Just hoping the twins make it, operating on conjoined twins has it's risks, you could lose one or both babies, and miracles do happen and they both live. I believe in miracles and even though it is television, I want to believe these angels will live too. Even in my delusion. This is Grey's Anatomy, everything tends to be dark and twisty, I better go get myself a large box of tissues, I love babies and to see them die is heartbreaking at the best of times.

They have done conjoined adults before... but just because they've done an operation before doesn't mean they never do it again and doesn't make the surgery less risky... I know we like to see new things but that sometimes loses reality. Conjoined infants will definitely be more emotional.
I think that Cristina is the best person for Teddy to talk to - she keeps her answers unemotional which I think Teddy will find helpful, even if it is hard for Cristina. Owen would not be able to do that.

so? ooh, they're doing it with babies so now it's completely different? it's going to be like exactly the same. someone will freak out about it, they'll have a point in the surgery where they don't think it's successful, and then it will be. whatever, making it as babies doesn't make it more amazing, in fact it makes it less. the seperation of conjoined babies is much more common than the seperation of conjoined adults

LOVE Grey's Anatomy and can't wait for another new episode!!!

I think that doing conjoined babies will be a lot more emotional as compared to the time they did conjoined adults. It could hit something in a lot of characters like Callie and Meredith who both have children now. As well as become another catalyst to bring up the problems between Cristina and Owen.

they have done conjoined ADULT twin's not BABIES before.
I'm guessing it has something to do with two successful separation's of conjoined twin's that i have heard of one in the USA i believe was in Richmond and the other was in Melbourne Australia. So i guess the show's medical story hunter's have read up on these cases.

yeah, they already did conjoined twins. come on grey's, come up with something new.

I love Bailey and Ben together! The moment at the end of 'Suddenly" when he grabbed her hand gave me goosebumps. I doubt she'll move in with him though.. We all know our Bailey likes to keep her moral compass as far due north as she can.(she will definitely want a ring first). Except those on call romps with Eli (which I loved by the way ) lol

Grey's Anatomy Season 8 Episode 11 Quotes

Our actions decide what kind of life they will lead.

Say you're in the OR. Repairing a vena cava. When suddenly everything goes to hell. So, you cut this, suture that, and soon that crappy situation is a thing of the past. Too bad you can't meet all of life's challenges with a surgical scalpel. I mean, you could try. But I'm pretty sure that would be considered assault.
