Donald Sutherland Signs on for Fox Sitcom Pilot

by at . Comments

He's not typically known for his comedic timing, but Donald Sutherland is hoping to change that this fall.

The veteran actor has been cast in Living Loaded, a single camera Fox sitcom written by It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosel.

Based on a book by the same name, the series will feature Sutherland and Mike Vogel, who will play the former's son, a hard-partying blogger-turned NPR host. Sutherland will portray Grant, the intense General Manager of a local public radio station.

Sutherland will also be gaining a new, young fan base this spring when he stars in The Hunger Games as President Snow.

Sue Ann, is that a picture of Doc Holliday? Good to see Sutherland has not retired. He is a fine actor and does drama and dry comedy both very well. Look forward to it.

He was exceedingly funny in the movie M*A*S*H, and when we were young, I saw him in some British programs where he exhibited wonderful timing for some rather sardonic lines. I think of him as a comedian who can do drama, rather than the reverse. It's great news that he will be back available to watch -- SO sexy!
