Mary McCormack Cast as Lead in New ABC Comedy
For Mary McCormack, her next acting gig is, pardon the obvious pun, in plain sight.
The In Plain Sight star has been cast as the lead on an upcoming ABC sitcom pilot from writer/producer Kari Lizer, the woman behind The New Adventures of Old Christine and Will & Grace.
The untitled series will focus on McCormack as a high-powered executive who suddenly becomes unemployed and must be a full-time mom to her pair of teenagers.
In Plain Sight, meanwhile, kicks off its fifth and final season n March 16.

Although I'm 63, I'm a new fan, having just become acquainted with Mary's work on "In Plain Sight." I loved her and wish her well in her new show. I will definitely be watching! She could be my daughter.

"In Plain Sight" was so good, I am really sorry to see it go. I'm sure the ABC show will be more of the same old crap. It's unfortunate.

I really liked In Plain Sight. Sorry to see it end. Maybe she needed another job because something else has ended in her life, like a marriage????

Hunh. What ever happened to leaving "In Plain Sight" to spend time with her three kids?
Whatever. Hope she's lost that baby weight!
