by at . Comments

Hawaii Five-0 star Alex O'Loughlin will miss at least one episode of the CBS drama, his rep said today in a statement, explaining:

“Alex is taking a short break from Hawaii Five-0 to receive supervised treatment for prescription pain medication due to a recent shoulder injury."

Hawaii Five-0 will continue production - it is currently filming episode 20 - and is expected to complete all season two episodes, despite the uncertain status of its leading man. Said CBS Studios in response to the news

“We respect and support Alex’s decision. Everyone at CBS Television Studios and Hawaii Five-0 wishes him well, and we look forward to his return.”

@amazingalex.... The only time I notice something about Alex was at the end of 2.17 where they all drinking but after 2.18 i thought it was me and that nothing was wrong and that Alex only have work to much this season.

Yes it was me who read some nasty stuff on the internet about Alex sadly I was not the only one who have read them and many people were mad on those few who made nasty comments. I have report some which are removed now I was really up-set about one who has said and I quote:
(Another Hollywood person with a drug problem. Shot him put him in a bag and send him back to Aussie land) Can't believe people say this. Thank God most comments were sweet and supportive

@lena..your welcome. I think cbs will def stand by him. Look how long they put up with charlie sheen?? And he was a car wreck. CBS seems to really love alex, they went to him first for this role. They also would have to know Alex is the reason this show has had such success. I think it will all be fine. He is one of those people that seem pretty determined in life. I wish I could say I was as surprised as you but I wasn't. I noticed in the last couple of epis steve was more hyper. It makes sense now. I am just glad he recognizes this.

@jschoi..Your very welcome. I hope many sign it. I would think he needs that right now. Your right, he is a team player but this is one time he needs to think of himself. Plus I guess they are ahead of schedule in filming so maybe the season will be finished after all. As long as he gets better that is all that matters.

@kaydee...I agree some people are just nasty. I have not seen anything negative yet either but lena has apparently. We will kick butts together!!!:) (I said zia but meant lena...sorry lena and zia. You know I do that to you guys all the time. :)It is the a at the end of your names.) :) Your welcome for the link. I thought it was such a nice idea and the card is so appropriate for alex. He seems to have grown to love hawaii as his home. I am one who has been worried about him for a while so I was sad but not really surprised. I am just glad he is honest with himself and is getting help. That is a great sign. I guess they do think they will finish the season cause they are ahead of schedule. Thank you for your kind words for my hubby. He is recovering well, thank goodness.

@amazingalex.... thanx, I just signed the card I guess I was fortunate I had a sports medicine dr and she was really good about everything.
I don't know the extent of Alexs injury so I can't say how much time he should take. I went back and carefully watched the last eps and his range of motion looked good, witch is a good sign as far as the injury goes. That doesn't mean the pain is any less. If he comes back this season I hope he takes a little easy. If doesn't come back this season that would give him long time to heal physically. I thinks he's the kind of guy who is a team player and needs to get back as soon as possible, but for once he has to be selfish and think of himself first.

Sorry it was Lena who saw the negative comments, not Zia.

@amazingalex thanks for the link, will gladly sign the card. While I haven't read anything negative on Alex's situation, unfortunately Zia is right. Count me in when you go kick some @$$'$ cause people are just too stupid and ignorant for words. I grew up in an era of rampant drug abuse and lost many friends to it. Seeing and feeling the pain it caused turned me into the big chicken I am when it comes to drugs (and alcohol). I strongly feel that doctors should be held more accountable for the amounts of pain med scrips they write. Enough of my feelings. The good news is Alex's getting the help he needs. Every step in the right direction is a good step. Hope your husband has a speedy recovery.

@zia..who would say anything but supportive comments about this?? Give me names zia and we can kick some serious arse!! What is wrong with people???? This forum is too classy for that. My husband just had major surgery on monday and they gave him serious pain medication. As soon as he took them he could barely stand up. Those things are powerful and they dont even warn you. They just write you a prescription and that is it. He has not taken one since. I can def see how this can happen.
